[edit]I apologise for any slight you have taken in my recent exchanges on the article Sanchin, it was not intended and my ire came from a place of trying to a good job on the article. Let's bury the hatchet? Mountaincirque 14:30, 12 October 2016 (UTC) has extended an olive branch of peace.
Thank you, accepted, and I will redact my "trifle on the harsh side of strict" rhetoric if you wish. TheDoctorX (talk) 03:34, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Decision of the Mediation Committee
[edit]- Reject. Fails to satisfy prerequisite to mediation #4, "The parties must have first engaged in extensive discussion of the matter in dispute at the article talk page and discussion only through edit summaries will not suffice". See DISCFAIL. For the Mediation Committee, TransporterMan (TALK) 17:15, 21 February 2018 (UTC) (Chairperson)

Party refused any engagement.
I will recognize this decision represents acceptance of the article AS IT IS. TheDoctorX (talk) 18:09, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
Lack of any desire to fulfill responsibilities.
TheDoctorX (talk) 18:15, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
Please note that no "decision" was made by the Mediation Committee except the decision to reject your application for mediation. That rejection contains no comment nor judgment on the merits, or lack thereof, of any position taken by any party or prospective party to the mediation, but merely reflects the fact that the Committee will not accept the case due to its failure to meet the prerequisites for mediation. Neither does it "represent acceptance of the article as it is" or imply anything at all about the content matter or matters, or article text, in dispute. (Indeed, mediation through the Mediation Committee does not make "decisions" of any kind about the content of articles since mediation is not arbitration. Mediation is guided discussion with a view towards bringing the parties to consensus, not a tribunal which makes judgments about content. No such tribunal exists at Wikipedia.) If a party will not engage in discussion, consider the recommendations made in DISCFAIL. For the Mediation Committee, TransporterMan (TALK) 21:18, 21 February 2018 (UTC) (Chairperson)

Inaction, as well as action, results in obvious consequences. It is a decision. You, or anyone else in your curiously titled "Mediation Committee," could have taken helpful and constructive action, action, if I prov'd an unkind man, I would have noted would have taken far less time than it took to compose the above excuses to avoid rendering assistance kindly requested.
Instead, I merely observe that you refused.
"That is that."
"It is what it is."
Absent actual constructive and helpful action, I consider this matter closed. TheDoctorX (talk) 21:30, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
___________
I will note, en passant, in response to my correction of his misrepresentation of the situation, the individual offered more weak and factually incorrect excuses on his own Talk, the congealing of which certainly exceeded the time and effort that he, or anyone else in the inestimable "Mediation Committee" that does not, actually, mediate anything, would have expended checking the article.
Quod erat demonstrandum.
