Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Gptb.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 15:22, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Illustration (band) has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article seemed to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki 18:13, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I saw you'd created this. I had a few references in the Together! page so I've taken the liberty of moving them here. Hope you don't mind but it seemed more sensible to have them here. I've also done some edits to comply with formatting in WP:BAND. --Rodhullandemu (talk - contribs) 19:42, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Myrthlp.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Myrthlp.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Asheville fm, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.ashevillefm.org/about.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Asheville fm requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Triwbe (talk) 18:12, 19 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

For some reason my page was deleted within hours of me putting it on. Asheville FM is a legitimate radio staion, fully licensed with ASCAP & BMI. We have been broadcasting since Sept 2009. I inlcuded our website which has additional info to verify everything that I wrote. Please let me know what else you need to justify its existence. I have read all of the tutorials on creating a page Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thebigern (talkcontribs)

Please read the alert just above; i.e. "Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable." and the logfile stating why JohnCD (talk · contribs) deleted the page "Article about a company, corporation, organization, or group, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject)".
The notability guidlines we applied are Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies). --Triwbe (talk) 15:38, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
