Thanks

[edit]

Thanks for the quick revert on my userpage. It looks like a vandal just back from a previous block.... And the fight goes on. Thanks again, --TeaDrinker 21:55, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You gave no reason why the image should be deleted. -Nv8200p talk 22:33, 19 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

[edit]

I love wikipedia and like editing but I'm still quite teh n00b so haven't got round to creating a user page, sorry about that.

Yeah, I'm from Didsbury but I'm afraid I don't know enough about the City Council to be able to provide that much assistance.

This user has been blocked for one week for vandalism, as per your request on WP:AIV.  (aeropagitica)  (talk)  17:39, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalising

[edit]

Could you not sen me crap about me vandalising the Ku Klux KLan page when ive never edited a single page.

List

[edit]

Could you E-mail me a list on what is considered vandalizing? Thanks Naturemisstress

Categories

[edit]

Is it possible to change the text that appears in a category? I've got a list of acronyms in a non-wikipedia wiki all as Acronyms/TLA (or whatever the acronym is). They are all in the category Acronyms, but I just want the text after Acronyms to appear in that category (so in the example, just TLA to show up). I know that I can order them by typing [[Category:Acronyms|TLA]], but is there a way to get rid of the leading Acronyms/ infont of the TLA?

Thanks! Thegraham 12:11, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've never seen that done, but it may be possible to modify your MediaWiki installation to support it. Please try asking in the MediaWiki IRC channel on Freenode. Cheers, Tangotango 12:48, 10 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Userboxes

[edit]

The funny thing is, I've added that userbox to the work wiki as well. Muhahahahaha. Da-rb 17:19, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge Tags on non-notable councillors

[edit]

... and I've reinserted them. I'm not keen to move them to AfDs as if theres more information to add to them then it could become contentious ("They've already been deleted"). I've explained why I think that your reading of the Manchester Councillors decision was wrong on their talk page. JASpencer 09:25, 30 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Councillors

[edit]

Please stop making silly accusations on my talk page. Firstly I have been merging plenty of Liberal Democrat nonentities as well as Labour nobodies. Secondly I can't recall a single incident where I've put a redirect for one of these articles. An apology will be gratefully received, although hardly expected on your past form. Private Schools

[edit]

The issue of Mr Bradley's choice for his son's education was an important factor for electors, which is why I have reverted it. It is NOT vandalism

WP:CVU status

[edit]

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! The article Elaine Boyes has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Local Councillor. No references, no news articles of significance, nothing that passes WP:BIO

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Thegraham! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 6 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Sue Murphy - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. M. Afzal Khan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  3. Elaine Boyes - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
