Seems sensible. I view myself as (or at least I would like to be) an article rescuer, trying to save potentially good articles from the sometimes-too-harsh speedy deletion process. Whatever happens with this article will be educational for me in terms of knowing what's worth rescuing and what's not. I'm not an aredent deletionist, if anything I'm more an inclusionist (I love the section on your user page on Watch those Speedys). I don't think either of us disagree with WP:POLITICIAN just it's interpretation. My take FWIW is that to keep articles like this would mean wikipedia being littered with short bio's on failed politicos. To delete them afterwards under WP:BLP1E or just general non-notability gives the creator of the article exactly what they were most likely trying to achive - publicity during the campaign. Especially as here where the creator of this article is obviously involved in her campaign, witness the edits on the constituency page.

Changing the subject completely I see you're in Halfax NS. Is Halifax worth a visit? Me and my wife are flying into Halifax in June and haven't decided yet whether to spend some time in Halifax or head straight out. NtheP (talk) 20:55, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Halifax is definitely worth a visit. The downtown harbour front is a great place on a sunny day - a mile or so of nice scenery, historical buildings and ships, restaurants on the water, and general low-key touristy fun stuff. I'd recommend a walk there, and also a stroll in Point Pleasant Park which gives views out into the Atlantic and features many partly-ruined military fortifications from the days when Halifax was the jewel in the British North American crown. If you're interested in that kind of stuff it's worth visiting the Halifax Citadel too which dominates the downtown.

If you have time to get out of the city, rent a car and drive around the Chebucto peninsula (Where Halifax is located) around to St Margaret's Bay (where the Americans planned to invade Canada) and you'll see sparkling white granite cliffs, roadside lobster sellers, white sandy beach after white sandy beach (including the only nudist beach in Atlantic Canada), awesome waves coming in off the Atlantic, and deep, sparkling blue water that looks like it should be washing up against the shores of Bermuda. I wouldn't go swimming though; the water's cold and there icebergs not far off shore, as the passengers and crew of the Titanic learned to their disadvantage. Also I would avoid Peggy's Cove which is world-famous for no reason at all that I can ascertain. It has a lighthouse. If you have traveled at all in Britain you will have seen one of those before, and you can save yourself the rip-off pricing... Thparkth (talk) 21:14, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

Unless you and he were in a significant dispute about the content of a climate change article, and then your conduct in that dispute was raised in an enforcement request, I can't see why he should be considered "involved". Thparkth (talk) 12:46, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
