- Tito, please help me with nominating the attacks on ITN. It is there on Portal:Current events/2013 June 16. Ok? I am new there ta ITN. I shall be grateful. Faizan 10:22, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
- Nopes, it is here Wikipedia:In the news/Candidates, go to the appropriate date. Then copy paste this syntax Template:ITN_candidate#Syntax. Nominate only if you are sure the event is notable and important. If selected at ITN, DYK will be rejected automatically, but ITN is much larger than DYK. --Tito☸Dutta 10:26, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
- Oka, I am submitting it at ITN. I will fix the copyvio issues after that. Faizan 10:27, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

- ITN appearance automatically rejects DYK, see closing statement of Template:Did you know nominations/Rituparno Ghosh --Tito☸Dutta 10:29, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
- And why do you need DYK if it appears at ITN? ITN is better platform. And fix the copyvio issue, ITN reviews are stricter. --Tito☸Dutta 10:30, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
I suppose there were talk of you applying for adminship. Just wanted to let you know that i would be supporting it as you patrol many India related articles. It would really help, especially after User:Vivvt getting wrongly blocked. SpacemanSpiff and MikeLynch used to keep it under control i guess. But both have vanished now and there are no much admins left who have knowledge of these articles and can thus prevent such wrong decisions. I would somehow come to know when the RfA starts; but don't hesitate to drop a note if i miss it. Slam this note if they accuse you of canvassing. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 12:19, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Articles you might like to edit, from SuggestBot
We are currently running a study on the effects of adding additional information to SuggestBot's suggestions. Participation in the study is voluntary. Should you wish to not participate in the study, or have questions or concerns, you can find contact information on the SuggestBot study page.
IMPORTANT CHANGES: We have modified the selection of articles SuggestBot suggests and altered the design to incorporate more information about the articles, as described in this explanation.
Note: All columns in this table are sortable, allowing you to rearrange the table so the articles most interesting to you are shown at the top. All images have mouse-over popups with more information.
Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions
We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:
- Views/Day
- Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
- Quality
- Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.
The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:
- Content
- Is more content needed?
- Headings
- Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
- Images
- Is the number of illustrative images about right?
- Links
- Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
- Sources
- For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?
SuggestBot picks articles in a number of ways based on other articles you've edited, including straight text similarity, following wikilinks, and matching your editing patterns against those of other Wikipedians. It tries to recommend only articles that other Wikipedians have marked as needing work. We appreciate that you have signed up to receive suggestions regularly, your contributions make Wikipedia better — thanks for helping!
If you have feedback on how to make SuggestBot better, please let us know on SuggestBot's talk page. Regards from Nettrom (talk), SuggestBot's caretaker. -- SuggestBot (talk) 11:31, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

Need help for Girish Kumar
Some webpages just copy all their contents from Wikipedia articles without giving any credits. For example:
This webpage takes all its information from Girish Kumar and Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Now, the problem is that this webpage contains information about Girish Kumar's height which I would like to add to the Wikipedia article. But if I give a link to this webpage on the Girish Kumar article, then I think the whole article will be subject to copyright infringement. What to do? Bubaikumar (talk) 16:10, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

How to constructively add to Manual of Style/Biographies page
I had tried to make a constructive suggestion to the Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Biographies, but you had removed it saying that it is disruptive. I did not mean to be disruptive. I was told that I should discuss the problem of successive usage of names of people from India on this page, which is what I was trying to do. I am not too experienced with these things so maybe I did not follow the correct procedure, despite my efforts to find out what is the correct procedure. I thought the correct procedure would be to add another country specific usage guideline to the Manual of Style page, and then discuss why I had done this in the talk section of that page, which is what I did. Was this the correct procedure? If not, what is the correct procedure. The problem is that many Indian names should have exceptions to the rule of subsequent usage whereby only one name is used, because in some cases two names are required due to the accepted conventions of usage in academic articles and books. This is not just a silly point about one entry or one edit war. I have no desire for an edit war. Please advise.Khaydock (talk) 07:59, 26 June 2013 (UTC)

DYK for Rii Sen
On 27 June 2013, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Rii Sen, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Rii Sen won a best actress award at Osian's Cinefan Film Festival for the movie Cosmic Sex? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Rii Sen. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. Thank you for the notice and thank you for starting the article! I haven't used the reference toolbar before. Is it at the top of the editing window where you click "cite"? I usually type in refs manually. WhisperToMe (talk) 11:46, 28 June 2013 (UTC)
- Not a single ref toolbar is appearing. --Tito☸Dutta 15:35, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Holla
Hello,
It's been long since we worked on an article [I ended up horribly botching your astronomy DYK though]. But thankfully I've been in better shapes now than then. Are there any articles I can work on to help WP:IND? I do mostly CE work, and hopefully, there must be some article or the other which needs help.
Also, is it true that you have an adoption program now?
Cheers, TheOriginalSoni (talk) 22:35, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
- I do not have any new article at this moment. --Tito☸Dutta 23:48, 29 June 2013 (UTC)

Transport for London and Peel District School Board
Hi, Tito! Regarding en:Peel District School Board and en:Transport for London Pratyya said at User_talk:Pratyya_Ghosh#Article_requests_for_Transport_for_London_and_Peel_District_School_Board that he expects to complete the articles by 10 July - An idea could be that, if it's fine, you can start small stubs and then wait for him to post a fuller article/additional content on 10 July. How does that sound? WhisperToMe (talk) 08:02, 30 June 2013 (UTC)
English biography of Tagore?
Do you have any English biography of Tagore? It should contain some info on Carlo Formichi. This new article needs some expansion. The Legend of Zorro 18:12, 30 June 2013 (UTC)
- No, I do not have any, but Google Books surely has. --Tito☸Dutta 00:43, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
