- Hi Will, please could you let me know which reference you believe to be a promotional link? Tjbh14 (talk) 14:41, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- The link that I changed was due to the fact the previous reference was broken. The one I replaced it with was just as useful a reference as before. Tjbh14 (talk) 14:43, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Really? Which reference? You've only made two edits [1], [2]; and both have been to add a link to a blog on the IBRAN web site, a "source" who's goal is to sell products and services. So "which reference" out of the two? All of them. Please acquaint yourself with what Wikipedia considers a reliable source (Wikipedia:Reliable sources), and with Wikipedia's policy against promotion (Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion). signed, Willondon (talk) 14:54, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- The previous reference in the manhole article was linking to an e-commerce site “drainagesuperstore.co.uk” whose blog post no longer existed, so the loading class info provided wasn’t backed up by a live reference and when it was, 7 years ago, it was linking to a similar class of site.
- The second article, referring to ground reinforcement links to another e-commerce site that is entirely self-promotional, as opposed to discussing anything regarding sustainability within this niche. There was a request for citation, which I provided. When you read the linked articles, I can assure you they’re not self promoting at all. I entirely understand the need to preserve the nature of this site as an unbiased reference. Please look at the previous links AND the new ones to see what I mean. 82.152.108.28 (talk) 15:59, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
