I have a question. I understand why the first edit for April 4th was erased, as it didn´t follow the normalized language, but why was the second deleted? I mean, looking through several years, I see many fraternities foundation dates. I even saw foundation dates for specific chapters of fraternities. If one shouldn´t be, then none should. I am not looking for confrontation or anything, I am just really curious. I was looking at the links for several fraternities and tried to see what the general links were so that I could do it for my organization. This is how this started. Hi Coquidragon, thanks for the message. The reason I removed the item is it really is not an internationally significant event. The organization appears to be U.S. based and is not an international organization. Additionally, it does not have any articles outside of the English version of Wikipedia. The "recent years" articles (i.e.,1986) are international articles not specific to a country and they should include events that are international in nature. As far as the other fraternities included in the articles, they might not meet the criteria to be included in the article. I find that older articles sometimes contain items that should not be there. Speedy Deletion tag removal

Hey Ttonybl, I recently got copyright waiven to copy some articles from Nativewiki to wikipedia, but I was unaware that the articles I was copying were themselves copied from Hanksville.org/storytellers. Upon learning this I have deleted all the text from the articles except a short sentence I wrote at the top briefly describing who they are, and keeping the list of awards/publications. Judyta Papp article - creation protection status

Ttonyb1, article about Judyta Papp (her biography) was sourced from her website: judytapapp_dot_com so there were a problem with copyright infringement. I want to finilize creation of her biography, because Judyta is a famous polish photographer, her photos are in polish wikipedia on articles: Marek_Safjan, Andrzej_Wajda, Gustaw_Holoublek, Władysław_Bartoszewski. I have all information about Judyta Papp, because she send me that personally. Please help me to finish that article, i have that one rewrited from her CV. SoWhy administrator now is on vacation. Kweku Hanson

I see that you are the editor originally recommending speedy deletion of this article, which happened, indeed with such speed that I was not even able to do the "hang on" thingy. Anyway, Peter reinstated the article so that I could continue working on it. Now I see you are piling additional criticisms on it, which is fine. I realise that the language needs to be tightened, and the formatting, etc. I will get to all that. My problem is with the issue that will likely get this deleted, which is notablility. I currently have 5 references on this article, all from very reliable sources. There will be more, but piling on references just becomes silly. Regarding notablity: This person has been involved in a billion-dollar class action suit, in another 100 billion dollar international lawsuit which has attracted attention from all over the world and is now in the Federal couts, and has also been arrested and convicted of charges including multiple statutory rape, child pornography, tampering with witnesses, etcetera.

I suggest you read reliable sources. Unfortunately, the sources don't really fall into the category of reliable sources.

The fact that the person has been involved in multi-million dollar lawsuits is not a criteria for establishing notability – unfortunately, in our litigious society anyone can file a lawsuit for any amount regardless of merit. Hello Ttonyb1, Greg's company tagged.com has just settled yet another legal action against it for spamming and deceptive practices, so I updated the article yet again. My one time nemesis biographylover is long gone, and as I remembered you were fair and even handed, I was hoping you'd take a look at the latest version of the article and make any changes or suggestions you saw fit as your time and interest allowed. I'm pleased to say the the Wikipedia article on Greg Tseng has risen to the first hit for his name on Bing, Google and Yahoo! Skyline (2010 film) Plot Synopsis

Please explain to me why the film's official plot synopsis listed on imdb and several other websites can be considered copyrighted material to ohmygore.com? I did not indicate the material is copyrighted to a specific entity, only that it is copyrighted. If the material is published in the last 20 or so years, it need not have a copyright symbol. If the material was published my one of the original writers of the film, then he owns the copyright and unless he has licensed it under a license compatible with Wikipedia, it is a copyright violation. ttonyb (talk) 05:13, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

Leadership change of the UK should be in the events section of 2007

I feel that my edit in the events section of 2007 concerning the UK's change in leadership is very relevant as leadership changes of the UK have been shown on the events section of every year that one has occurred. Luitgard, Adrian: You are both very welcome. There may be a BLP issue calling him a spammer; however, one could argue that since he is the CEO of the company, he has responsibility for the actions of the company - much in the same way Ken Lay was responsible for Enron. The statement could be written in such a way that he is acknowledged as the CEO of a company that has been the subject of legal actions.

I have asked for protection on the article and it has been granted for 3 days until the warring issues have been resolved. In addition, I have suggested that the 3RR issue logged against Luitgard be closed without any action; however, I have opened a new 3RR against UnnotableWorldFigure requesting he be sanctioned for his actions.

BTW - Luitgard, Let me take a moment to congratulate you on your wiliness to learn from the situation and your strong attempts to try to work with UnnotableWorldFigure. I am sorry to say I do not remember the article; do you by any chance have a copy of the article somewhere? My guess is although you added sources, the sources did not meet the criteria in reliable sources. A search of Google only shows 14 hits with no news hits. The review of the Google hits shows them to not meet the criteria in reliable sources. BTW - You can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Throes of Sanity

Hi Ttonyb1, I saw that you removed my "Keep" vote as a duplicate vote. However, I noticed that my prior "Keep" vote did not appear in the "AfD statistics", which is why I added it. I did not mean to duplicate my vote but want to be sure it is included in the statistics. Will it be included?

Not a problem. The reviewing admin will look at the support behind the individual "votes" before they make a determination about the validity of the article. I am a little concerned that my vote for "Keep" did show up in the stats when I did not indent it on the actual AfD page and really do want to see it in the stats. Would it be okay if I deleted it in the indented version and added it to the non indented version just so I can see it in the stats? I do not know what you mean that he is a credible source. Please read reliable sources for a discussion of what is considered as usable in Wikipedia to support an article. The use of blogs, YouTube videos, sites such as Linkedin or myspace, or IMDB are not considered reliable sources. His relationship with the Jackson family does not have a bearing on his Wikipedia notability. Wikipedia notability does not rub off to another. If that were the case, all the parking attendants in Hollywood would have a Wikipedia article. Also, trivial coverage does not support Wikipedia notability. None of the D.B.L. information is biased, it is completely neutral in nature, and can be verified, by all of the work that Donny B. I now see what you were trying to say. Regardless, the resources do not meet the criteria in WP:RS. Anyone's music can be "licensed" to be on MTV - even unknown non-notable artists. There is no insult if someone does not warrant a Wikipedia article, it is simply a application of Wikipedia guidelines that will keep someone from getting article. Per WP:RS, blogs (even ones not controlled by the artist or affiliated in anyway with the subject of the article) are NOT credible sources. I am not sure why you are focused on the article being "neutral and not biased". That is not the issue here. His notability as defined in WP:BIO and WP:MUSIC] is the problem.

Furthermore, D.B.L. is listed on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Kimball and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jackie_Jackson pages.. So are you going to tell me there sources are not credible as well??? Are you going to tell me that Wikipedia itself is not a credible source when, all credible sources are supposed to be the basis of Wikipedia?? I'd love to see your answer sir.

Each article has to stand on it on merit. See WP:WAX. I have not looked the Brandon Adams page, but it could be that that page does not meet the criteria for inclusion.

Using a Wikipedia article as a source is not allowed by guidelines. From WP:RS: "Wikipedia is a tertiary source." "Wikipedia articles may not be used as tertiary sources in other Wikipedia articles." As I have suggest above, you need to read WP:RS. ttonyb (talk) 00:17, 30 April 2010 (UTC)

Calvin "Joonie" Gary inappropriate bot tag */

Thanks Tony - I sent an email over the first time - when I submitted the Joonie wiki - that was also flagged. It is his official Bio - and articles for the story were referenced - with the artist own interviews....justifying the story told in his bio. At this juncture, I am about to just delete his airplay direct account - so the page won't exist for a bot to find it - what a pain. That bio or a derivative of it is on all of his web presence - including his website - and careful attention was made not to write it from a biased perspective and to tell his story - there isn't going to be much we can do to tell it differently - it is what it is. Without writing it like a 5 year old....He sang in church. He is an artist. how are we supposed to get his story on here? :-) LOL! Again, thanks for your help.

No problem, I changed the tag to a copyvio and removed the CSD. I'll also redirect the Joonie article to Calvin "Joonie" Gary. BTW - deleting the originating text will not remove the copyright issue. Polydorus (Priam's Son)

Hi there.

In Polydorus (Priam's Son), which I just accepted via WP:AFC, should the book titles in section headings be italicised? At first I thought not, but I then noted Hamlet#Editions_of_Hamlet (inc.
