The article MESAC has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

A sporting association of 6 schools. Does not meet notability criteria for organisations at WP:ORG.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 13:59, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Kudpung, I do not know what other template to use, I couldn't find one. Do you have a suggestion? Casperruegg (talk) 15:42, 15 April 2011 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Apple A4.png

Thank you for uploading File:Apple A4.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Terrillja talk 01:40, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

The image of the chip is not the subject of significant critical commentary nor is it unique. Thus failing WP:NFCC.--Terrillja talk 05:58, 23 April 2011 (UTC)
I disagree, this is a copyrighted image. But I am pretty new, so if you have a suggestion, what rationale should I use? Casperruegg (talk) 15:18, 25 April 2011 (UTC)
Obviously it's copyrighted. The problem is that it isn't the subject of significant critical commentary, nor is it unique, adding something significant to the reader's understanding. It's a picture of a run of the mill chip with an apple logo on it. Thus no rationale would be applicable. So please stop removing the {{di}} tag.--Terrillja talk 18:18, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
I can make a free image that I'll release in public domain, and replace the non-free image on the article, would that work? Casperruegg (talk) 02:39, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

File source problem with File:1mardiv defbn insig.svg

Thank you for uploading File:1mardiv defbn insig.svg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of that website's terms of use of its content. However, if the copyright holder is a party unaffiliated from the website's publisher, that copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider verifying that you have specified sources for those files as well. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged per Wikipedia's criteria for speedy deletion, F4. If the image is copyrighted and non-free, the image will be deleted 48 hours after 01:28, 25 April 2011 (UTC) per speedy deletion criterion F7. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 01:28, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:DAA Logo.svg

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:DAA Logo.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 04:57, 24 April 2011 (UTC)

I apologize, this image is a "bad" version of an SVG I created, this file (in my opinion) may be deleted Casperruegg (talk) 15:10, 25 April 2011 (UTC)

Image tagging for File:MobileMe.png

Thanks for uploading File:MobileMe.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

This is an automated message from VWBot. I have performed a search with the contents of IPod Touch 4G, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: IPod Touch. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. VWBot (talk) 17:17, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Challenge to CSD G1 on MS Botnica

I have challenged your CSD G1 on MS Botnica. The criteria for G1 is "Pages consisting entirely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content or history." Clearly MS Botnica does not qualify. Please be more careful with your tagging in the future. Monty845 16:52, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

I am extremely sorry for this mistake, I will be sure to be more careful with Deletion templates Casperruegg (talk) 16:53, 29 April 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, it means a lot :D Casperruegg (talk) 14:08, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
No problem. By the by... I happened to check the user above who complained about your revert. Lots of times IP editors will complain about a revert but not say which article. It's usually very simple to just go to their talk page and find the warning I've given. Then it's easy to see the article. It's a few steps, but usually worth taking the time. Vandals won't often complain to you directly that you've reverted them, but those making good faith edits sometimes really want to know your reasoning. I usually follow them up. You might want to check the one above... It looks like a good faith edit... the fact that it was sourced would make me cautious about reverting. Just a tip! have a great day! Wikipelli Talk 15:05, 30 April 2011 (UTC)
I probably do that 5 or 6 times a day.  ;) Wikipelli Talk 03:25, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Thanks, I checked up on the user. This will save me a lot of time :D Casperruegg (talk) 14:43, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
Months ago, an IP editor was going through and changing the 'occupation' of many biography subjects from "soldier" to "filibuster". I dutifully went behind them and changed them all back and slapped vandalism warnings on them (in fairness, there were no edit summaries). They finally wrote me and pointed out that filibuster was not just a long speech, but also a term for a soldier that goes on an unauthorized military expedition. I had to backtrack and change them all back. I'm more cautious now - and a little wiser.  :) Wikipelli Talk 20:28, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Your Comment on Vandalism Information

"Vandals must be partying on Saturday" —Casperruegg Not Quite...They partied on Friday night and a little bit this morning. As of this morning, they are all: a)Sleeping in until noon. b)Nursing hangovers, unable to tolerate a screen. c)In the ICU after getting high, where they are forbidden access to Wikipedia. d)Grounded, without a computer. e)In Juvy, where they don't get a computer.

Just thought you might get a good laugh out of this. Bronsonboy HQ 15:01, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

Haha, thanks, I did get a good laugh.....:D Casperruegg (talk) 15:03, 30 April 2011 (UTC)

I have an image on my page and when I click on it, it goes to the Image's page. Is there any way I can change that? Casperruegg (talk) 02:29, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

In general, no.... when you add an image to a Wikipedia article, the user can click on the embedded image to see the full-size image, its original description, when it was uploaded and everything else. —Tim Pierce (talk) 03:13, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Reviewer granted

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged revisions, underwent a two-month trial which ended on 15 August 2010. Its continued use is still being discussed by the community, you are free to participate in such discussions. Many articles still have pending changes protection applied, however, and the ability to review pending changes continues to be of use.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under level 1 pending changes and edits made by non-reviewers to level 2 pending changes protected articles (usually high traffic articles). Pending changes was applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges.

For the guideline on reviewing, see Wikipedia:Reviewing. Being granted reviewer rights doesn't grant you status nor change how you can edit articles even with pending changes. The general help page on pending changes can be found here, and the general policy for the trial can be found here.

If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

Julia Montes

Greetings! Just a heads up, the edit you reverted on Julia Montes here re-inserted a copyright violation into the article. A new editor had previously removed the violation but did so a little roughly and without an edit summary. The use of caps as headings made me suspect it had been copied from another source and dig a little deeper. Regards! VQuakr (talk) 06:34, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Sorry, somehow Twinkle missed two editors editing the same page Casperruegg (talk) 08:22, 2 May 2011 (UTC)
