Speedy deletion nomination of Nicola Yanney

[edit]

Hello Vaišvilkas,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nicola Yanney for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

I moved over a text that existed in another article, though I didn't write it. I know how copyright works. I was not aware that the original text which I moved from another article had any problems in this regard, living as it had in that other article for some time -- about a year or more.
That said, I was in the process of rewriting it to make it a more fulsome piece when multiple other editors started reverting it to the state I found the text in originally and then eventually removing the article entirely as a copyright violation. How anyone is supposed to remedy the problems you mention I cannot imagine, if revisions that transform the text considerably -- including new sources which I added -- simply get reverted. I was trying to fix it.
Something is broken, it seems to me, if this sort of thing is the norm, since it frustrates the process of trying to deal with the problems you mention. Vaišvilkas (talk) 18:42, 21 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Beresteishchyna, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Orthodox Church. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Hello, I'm Pbritti. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Raphael of Brooklyn, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Pbritti (talk) 17:36, 4 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
