:Thanks! Although, somethings telling me I'm not going to be getting the interview or anything close to that. I called the number and it rang twice and went right to voicemail. I did that some time ago, and I have yet to get anything back. Probably should wait a while longer, but I'm not holding my breath for anything. Vote 4 DJH2036 (talk) 17:12, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

- I haven't been able to do the call yet (dead phone), and I can't record my phone. I was just going to listen and write down the questions and answers. I need to record it, don't I?
- It isn't necessary but it would make it much easier. There's many apps you can install for free that would be able to record the call. --William S. Saturn (talk) 07:20, 29 November 2015 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:United States presidential election, 2016, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. More 2020 candidates
[edit]Thank you for adding more candidates to the page! But the source you provided [2] has a lot more candidates, would it be good or bad to add all 25 people to the page? I'm a pro at screwing things up and you seem to be the great and only user to be updating this page! --TDKR Chicago 101 (talk) 03:47, 27 May 2016 (UTC)
- Thanks! And I only included candidates who were specified as potential candidates for 2020. The article, itself, just focuses on candidates they wanted to run in 2016 (somewhat jokingly, somewhat true- as many would agree a Joe Biden/Stephen Colbert debate would be amazing), so I only looked for those few listed as 2020 candidates. Edit warring
[edit]Your recent editing history at United States presidential election, 2020 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done.
Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.--IceFrappe (talk) 23:30, 7 November 2016 (UTC)

2020 US prez election
[edit]Howdy. I know those officials haven't left or assumed their offices yet as of December 2016. However, the article-in-question is about an event that takes place in 2020. A time when those officials will has left or assumed their offices. GoodDay (talk) 02:27, 6 December 2016 (UTC)
I removed Deleware from Biden's entry, because it looks like we're saying he's Vice President of Delaware. GoodDay (talk) 04:54, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
- It's fine- don't worry about it. We can add "US Vice President" before it. Vote 4 DJH2036 (talk) 04:58, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
- Trump's campaign filed the paperwork on the day he was inaugurated. It has sponsored many rallies since then. He has said he would serve EIGHT years. Why don't you believe he didn't? Why doesn't this count any more that mentions in the others by the media?Arglebargle79 (talk) 20:41, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Trump filed paperwork saying he had met requirements for 2020. Holding rallies doesn't mean much of anything. Him saying he will isn't technically declaring. All Presidents say they'll serve 8 years. It matters when he officially declares his candidacy- either via FEC paperwork or via something else. Vote 4 DJH2036 (talk) 20:54, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Having filed the paperwork, saying that one's going to serve EIGHT years says that he is interested, which means, like EVERYONE else who's done so, that they should be listed and the article, which has been vetted as both notable and accurate, is relevant to the article and should have a link. why should we hide it? Here is proof it's a genuine campaign. and if you go to the campaign's website, you will see a paragraph titled "Donald J. Trump For President, Inc. –– Why Now?" The paperwork has been completed. He now doesn't HAVE to announce until after the primaries are over. He has a permanent campaign that can raise money and keep the base riled up. Jack Fellure doesn't even have a campaign. in 2015-16, the FEC didn't even know what his address was and he got ZERO votes in the primaries. Arglebargle79 (talk) 22:47, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
which reminds me
[edit]The Donald Trump for President, inc. website has a listing for a rally this weekend. How is an authorized organization called Donald Trump for President, inc. NOT a campaign? Arglebargle79 (talk) 22:53, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- Because it can be considered an exploration committee. At the moment, Trump isn't doing anything different than what someone who's exploring would be. Let me put it this way: Trump hasn't officially stated he's going to run. He's said he plans on it- plans change quite a bit, and with Presidential politics, there's a great chance something could. We all know Trump's going to run- but we can't use our own opinions. Until he actually states or files that he is going to run for President (which he hasn't)- we can't include him as a declared candidate. As for Fellure- if you sign up for the FEC, it's counted as an official candidate as long as they have a page. Vote 4 DJH2036 (talk) 22:57, 18 March 2017 (UTC)
- But why delete a link to a relevant article on the subject? If you say it's an "exploration committee" (which it isn't, but I'll concede that for the moment) why try to hide it? The link deserves to be there. In 2012 and '16, all the candidates with an exploratory committee were listed with links to a campaign article. Why not Trump this time? Arglebargle79 (talk) 12:40, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
