Image:ICS-Building1.jpg listed for deletion

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as Image:ICS-Building1.jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, a non-profit website, this is in fact not the case. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self-no-disclaimers}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Sherool (talk) 22:12, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You wrote on my page: "But our official address is "Salt Lake City" ... that will confuse people; P.S. ... when our school was established, there was no Holladay." Official address? says who? the U.S. Postal Service? check out their ZIP code look-up page: http://zip4.usps.com/zip4/welcome.jsp There you will find that it is perfectly acceptable to use the city name "Holladay" for any address in the ZIP code 84121.

Holladay is actually the oldest continuously inhabited settlement in the state of Utah - it did indeed exist at the time the school was established. No, it was not an incorporated city at the time, but the place names that appear in addresses are not necessarily incorporated municipalities. In any case, today the school lies within the city limits of Holladay, and not within those of Salt Lake City.

As for supposed confusion, this is a SCHOOL for heaven's sake; a place where children are supposed to learn. Won't they be confused when they look at a map of the Salt Lake Valley, find the location of the school in the colored area that belongs to Holladay, notice that this is over FIVE miles outside of the colored area that belongs to Salt Lake City - but at the same time school materials and teachers and parents write the address as "Salt Lake City, UT 84121"? Again, this is a school! One place that should get things right! There is no excuse for perpetuating such inaccuracies. If the school is in Holladay, its address should say "Holladay". It's that simple. Schiptuin 23:09, 1 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
