How do I get userboxes on my page? Wikiisawesome 11:40, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
I have added a "prod" template to the article Autocratic Democracy, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the dated prod
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. -- Nuncirism 14:47, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Userboxes and Categories
Hey, Wia, see this page for more about userboxes. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page to the section labelled "Gallery". You can seriously go crazy with them, there's so many of them like User:Aeon1006/Userboxes/User bangkey. For example, my page is replete with userboxes, and also categories. There are so many obscure categories, like . For a list, see Category:Wikipedians and click on the subcategories, which will lead you to more and more subcategories. To add them to your page, just add to your user page. Alternatively, you can just copy and paste the title of the category you would like to be categorized into into your userpage, adding double square brackets around them. Hope this helps. Oh, and by the way, move the things on your user page to your talk page (i.e. this page) before adding categories and userboxes. Yvesnimmo 02:51, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
NBYO
I have started a "page" for the NBYO, as you suggested. It is located here as a subpage. You can also have unlimited subpages under your username. For more information, see Wikipedia:Subpages. Feel free to add more information to the subpage if you'd like, maybe about CD's. Yvesnimmo 02:51, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
It is actually necessary to note all the instruments in the orchestra, as it is a symphony orchestra and so most of those instruments are likely to be there anyway. Please reply on my user page. --pizza1512 Talk Autograph 09:35, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey, wikiisawesome, I have created pages on half of the NBYO's principal conductors. If you would like to add more information, or create pages on the other four if you know of anything else, please feel free to do so. Hope you are well. --Yvesnimmo 19:26, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Welcoming users
Thanks for helping to welcome users! Two notes: first, welcome users on their User talk page rather then their User page, so they'll see it; and second, copying-and-pasting an existing message doesn't work properly (as you've discovered); you can welcome someone by typing ~~~~
. Hope that helps! --ais523 11:30, 12 April 2007 (UTC)
I started an article about Dr. James Mark of the NBYO. If anyone has further information about him, it would be gratefully accepted. Thanks! Wikiisawesome 21:17, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Dr. James Mark
I renamed the article to James Mark, since Wikipedia article titles don't usually include titles such as "Dr." Can you add reviews of his performances or newspaper or magazine articles about him so as to establish his notability? --Eastmain 23:37, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Happy Birthday!
Sorry I'm a bit late UTC-wise. Yvesnimmo 02:41, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Hey, Wikiisawesome, could you add more stuff to the Bessborough article I created ;)? Thank you. Yvesnimmo 18:28, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey, Wikiisawesome, nice start. A tip, though. When starting new articles, it is a good idea to look at articles that are similar to it, because you are missing some key elements in this article. For example, with this article, you could look at the page on Hector-Louis Langevin, the 10th mayor of Quebec city. From that article, here are some things that you could and probably should add to the article to make it better:
- Template:Mayor of Quebec City at the bottom of the article
- Categories (if known) like Category:[Insert year here] births, Category:[Insert year here] deaths, , , you get the point.
- External links or references, if used/known
- A stub (because it is such a short article), probably Template:Quebec-politician-stub
- An otheruses template, probably Template:otherpersons. For help on how to use this, see Wikipedia:Template messages/General.
- Any interlanguage links, although there are probably none in this case
- Square brackets around dates, years, and other important info
- Template:WPBiography on the talk page
I'll let you do the changes so that you can get some experience ;). --Yvesnimmo 20:00, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, wikiisawesome. I see that you've made the changes to the page. One more thing, though. When adding templates to pages, don't go to that template page, view the source, and copy and paste what's in the editing box. You could just simply take the name of the article, exclude the word "Template:" and place what is left over in curly brackets. For example, you would just put
- instead of
- {{dynastie| before={before}| after={after}| name=<br /> List of mayors of Quebec City| color1=gray| color2=white }}<noinclude> </noinclude>.
- And I was just using wikitext, so don't click [this page], and copy and paste, just copy and paste directly from the page. Got it? Okay, good ;). Yvesnimmo 00:37, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
School navboxes
First of all, I have created, as you proposed, a navbox with all the District 02 schools. It is located here. Do you think that the navbox for Greater Moncton Schools (Template:Greater Moncton Schools) should be deleted and replaced with the district navbox and a to-be-created newly created Template:NBDistrict1Schools instead? Speedy deletion nomination of Liquidprint
A tag has been placed on Liquidprint requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Victão Lopes I hear you... 04:07, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
