Varzaqan County (Persian: شهرستان ورزقان)[a] is in East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Varzaqan.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the county's population was 46,833 in 10,766 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 45,708 people in 12,228 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the county as 52,650 in 16,273 households.[2]
