Dale Brady is to the better known to the people of Pennsylvania than any other citizens of any other state. However, those who vist him and ask for autographs could tell you he is an inspiration. Though he is no longer the "steel wall" on the Ephrata High Football Team, he still works out eight hours a day and is celebrated at every public event he goes to. Some call him an "American Legend". But, most people just laugh and say "He's the man!" Dale Brady currently resides in his hometown of Ephrata; it is there where his grand mansion sits atop the city as if it were a King's Keep, watching over his apital city. But, in all seriousness, Dale Brady is a renouned athlete (at ALL sports), a town hero, and retired Kerper of Justie. This is because he and a few other citiens, including "Fat" Good, his childhood friend, and others, established their own police force from 1967-1974. It was made due to the rising crime rate in Ephrata, and was called the "Army of Justice", but more commonly nicknamed "the Army". It is beleived that these men saved appoxamately 60 inocent lives in the late 60's/ early 70's. After Brady's career in Law Enforcement, he beame a teacher at the very school he grow up going to, and was a beloved mentor of most students. During this time, Dale Brady toured the state of Pennsylvania to help raise money for the Lutheran Church and then did some missionary work in Africa and South America. He can speak fluid English, Spanish, French, German, Latin, and Hebrew. He is simply, as onsidered by most the "Definition of Man"! Allen "Dempsey" Holder - early surfer

He was one of the first surfers to ride the big surf off the coast of the Tiajuna sloughs. Dempsey was also head of the imperial Beach lifeguard services for many years.The Public Safety building that houses sheriff and lifeguard services is now named after Dempsey for his important contributions to surfing and public safety. The reviewer comments appear below the article text. {{Infobox Wrestler}} Kaoru Matsumoto is a retired Japanese professional wrestler, known by her ringname Dump Matsumoto, who competed in All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling as one of the leading female wrestlers during the 1980s. The longtime leader of the stable Gokuaku Domei which included Crane Yu, Condor Saito and Bull Nakano, she was one of the main rivals of the popular tag team Crush Gals. Their long running feud would become extremely popular during the 1980s, with their televised matches resulting in some of the highest rated in Japanese television as well as the promotion regularly selling out arenas. Early career Making her debut in 1980, within three years she defeated Lioness Asuka for the AJW Championship on January 8 and held the title for almost 6 months before loosing the title back to Asuka on June 1, 1983. During her feud with the Crush Gals, she would often team with Bull Nakano and Crane Yu, who Matsumoto teamed with to defeat Lioness Asuka and Chigusa Nagayo for the WWWA Tag Team titles on February 25, 1985 although the two were forced to vacate the titles two months later following Crane Yu's retirement. She would later make an unsucessful bid for the vacant WWWA World Heavyweight Championship loosing to Devil Masami on December 12, 1985 and later loosing to rival Chigusa Nagayo for the All Pacific Championship in Tokyo, Japan on April 5, 1986. World Wrestling Federation In early 1986, she and Nakano made a brief appearance in the World Wrestling Federation defeated Velvet McIntyre in two separate tag team matches with Dawn Marie in Boston, Massachusetts on March 8 and with Linda Gonzales in New York City, New York on March 16, 1986. Return to Japan Once back in Japan, Matsumoto resumed her feud with the Crush Gals teaming with Bull Nakano to defeat Lioness Asuka and Kazue Nagahori (substituting for an injured Chigusa Nagayo) for the WWWA Tag Team titles on August 23, 1986 however the two would eventually be forced to vacate the titles the following year. Although Matsumoto officially annouced her retirement on February 25, 1988 in which she wrestled the Crush Gals in a tag team match with Yukari Ohmori and then siding against her partner by switching with Nagayo against Asuka and Ohmori, she wrestled her final match against Bull Nakano and Condor Saito on February 28. Recent years Since her retirement, she has appeared in a number of Japanese films during the late 1980s and early 1990s most notably portraying the character Bái Yá-Shàn in Ryoichi Ikegami and Kazuo Koike's Crying Freeman series which includes Crying Freeman 2: Shades of Death, Part 1 (1989), Crying Freeman 3: Shades of Death, Part 2 (1990) and Crying Freeman 5: Abduction in Chinatown (1992). She has also starred in Scorpion Woman Prisoner: Death Threat (1991) and Okoge (1992). She has since appeared on several All Japan Women "legends reunions" and, in August 1998, Matsumoto and Crane Yu came out of retirement wrestling in a ten minute exhibition tag team match against Combat Toyota and Hyper Cat. KXLU Demolisten - 88.9FM Los Angeles

History KXLU Demolisten is a radio show that plays nothing but demos from the campus of Loyola Marymount University, on 88.9FM KXLU Los Angeles. The show began in 1984 when "DJ Agent Ava" took a couple reel to reel tapes of Janes Addiction and Faith No More, and decided to start a radio show of nothing but demo tapes. Once word got out about the show, she soon aquired demos from The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N' Roses, The Jesus and Mary Chain and others. The early 1990's DJ's featured Fred Kiko, Chad, and Tony Kiewel. They've often been credited with the discovery of Beck, which donated a track to "Demolisten: Volume 2" CD, and also played music by Jimmy Tamborello (Postal Service, DNTL), who was friend and fellow KXLU DJ at the time. Tony Kiewel left the show for a scouting position at Sub Pop Records in 2000. The early 2000's continued to feature Fred, with Devin (present bass player for The Temporary Thing) and Doug Jones (label owner of Kittridge Records). Other hosts have included the International Voice of Reason AKA IVOR, and others. Fred continues to run the show with Co-Host Octavius Poirier (former guitarist for Artichoke.) They launched a blog of their playlists and live guests in January 2007. Some bands in recent years that have been featured have been They were on a TV show in Canada where they were interviewed by Laurie Pike. There is a nice writeup of the show in LA Weekly Feb 24, 1998. They were nominated as best radio show in Los Angeles by the LA Weekly: published June 2, 1999. They were mentioned in Slate Magazine as an influence on the authors music taste in Nov 29, 2004. Also mentioned in The Los Angeles Alternative, an independent Newspaper, when KXLU won one of the top 5 radio stations in the city in the people's choice awards: Published June 30, 2006. Demolisten has also been featured in an independent film called "Destroy the Rocker" about the Los Angeles Music scene. The Gnomes Cricket Club (GCC) was established in Sydney in 2005 in preparation for the 2005/6 season. Among its founding members were famous Gnomes such as Andrew 'Gash' Cowan, Brian 'Nappy' Gunner, Simon 'Sniffer' Greville, Damo 'Duck' Cunningham, Nick 'DT' Brown, Ian 'Maniac' McMaster, Kent 'Bruce Growler' Haigh, Glen 'Pie Cart' Shirley and Allan 'Trigger Roberts. Other, less improtant Gnomes played their part too - one of questionable note being Benjamin 'Remington Steele' Chiarella. History The team that took the field at Allan Oval on the 8th October 2005 did so without knowing exactly what the future would hold for them. A dishevelled bunch of would be hockey players took on the Macquarie Maggots in what turned out to be an exhibition of big hitting and mediocre cricket all round. Chasing 165, The Gnomes proved themselves a force to be reckoned with - reaching their target in just 24 of the alloted 40 overs. This first game set the benchmark for The Gnomes Cricket Club as they went on in their first season to win the Minor premiership in the esteemed NSCA Competition - widely regarded as the strongest and most competetive cricketing competition in New South Wales, Australia. Advancing to the Grand Final in their first year, the Gnomes fought galiantly against their new local rivals The Pigs, but due to poor overnight preparation they lost in a blaze of crispishness. What had been discovered that fateful year was a unique vibe that was created, maintained, and to this very day is still being perfected by all those to have played Representative Gnomes Cricket. It is known by those in the inner circle as Gnomishness, or more recently as The Church of Gnometology. As with all belief systems, there are rules that provide structure for Gnomes, and these are known as Gnomements. The 10 Gnomements of the Church of Gnometology 1. Thou shall charge 1.1 The first ball of an innings must be charged by the #1 batsman. 1.2 All players shall have a turn being the #1 batsman 1.3 If the #1 batsman is dismissed with the first ball he may elect where he wishes to bat the next week 1.4 If the #1 batsman hits a boundary he may elect who bats at #1 the following week 1.5 Thou who does not charged will be fined $5 and made to repeat on first ball of the next innings. 2. Oleksij Kerekesha, composer and lead singer of the popular group Fata Morgana, released his first solo album titled "Ne Zavydui." Blending the haunting words of Taras Shevchenko with modern musical influences is Mr. Kerekesha's trademark, and he doesn't disappoint loyal listeners with this newest release. Mr. Kerekesha holds a B.A. in music from the Kyiv State Institute of Culture. Influenced by Western pop rock music, particularly groups like Pink Floyd, he began composing at an early age, combining Ukrainian Iyricism with modern musical influences. In 1987, O. Kerekesha created a new musical group in Kyiv called Fata Morgana. The group was thrust into the limelight with O. Kerekesha's original compositions set to the Iyrics of Taras Shevchenko. Greatly influenced by Shevchenko, Mr. Kerekesha's new music quickly became the trademark of the group. "Hamalia," one of the earliest compositions, was consistently on the "Top 40" charts in Ukraine and has become one of the most popular Ukrainian songs of the decade, both in Ukraine and in North America. During the 1920's there were more limits on the types of careers and professions that people could pursue. Women were expected to stop work once they married and become dependent on their husbands for income. Before they were married, women could work doing jobs such as teachers, nurses (it was unlikely women would be doctors - this was a man's job), librarians, shop clerks and the like. When they were married women would stay at home cooking, cleaning, sewing and other jobs around the house. However, men could be almost anything that we can be in the twenty first century. They could work in the army or royal marines, doctors, dentists, pilots, policemen and every other job that is around today. Men were also paid more for doing the same jobs as women. Therefore, if a woman was a nurse and a man was doing exactly the same job, the man would be paid more. Two individuals are selected each year to drive around the country to take part in the excitement surrounding high school football games, turning their observations into forty-five second mini-shows that air on the NBC Sunday Night Football Toyota Halftime Show. For the 2007 season, the two hosts were picked from among many high school football fans who participated in auditions via YouTube, MySpace and talent searches at state fairs. The pair set off on their journey in a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The high schools featured were chosen for their unique hometown traditions, rivalries, fans, teams, coaches, cheerleaders and bands. Arany used the legend of the 500 Welsh Bards burnt on the stake by king Edward I of England as a metaphor for an encoded resistance to the suppressive politics of Alexander von Bach in Hungary and the planned visit of Franz Joseph I, instead of a poem of praise. Johnsburg High School first opened its doors in 1865 as ordered by Abraham Lincoln to bring healing to the nation after the Civil War. Its colors were originally Blue and Gray, but have since been changed to Blue and Gold after a Skyhawk was reportedly found to have saved the lives of students who were caught in a tornado back in 1927. The school houses 3,500 students on a daily basis, and is a world leader in providing authentic assessment. 95% of its students go on to Ivy League schools, with the remaining 5% often choosing to go to Africa and South America for the Peace Corps. 100% of its teachers boast Doctorate degrees and many travel worldwide to assist failing schools. Three of its teachers have been given the honor of being the nation's best teacher. Its most recent inductee, Brad Frey, is soon going to be coming out with a video series which correlates with his newest class - "Golf - How Math can make you play like Tiger Woods!" Chicken Butt is a commonly used term used by young people to make a random input. It is most typically used as after you say, Guess What? Though a chickens butt is a physical thing, for the purposes of the research of the phrase it is just a random comment that was created to throw a conversation off and get a laugh. For instance, "Tyler was talking to his girlfriend Katie about cars, when suddenly Katie interrupted with 'Guess what...Chicken Butt'. The both laughed for hours." This is the purpose of Chicken Butt. So next time someone is boring you with a meanless conversation, throw in some humor and say "Chicken Butt." Admish gives social networking a purpose by simplifying college admissions, and bringing students and universities face-to-face in a totally secure, highly interactive and informative environment. Seeking to fill what it sees as a void in college preparation, Admish's stated goal is to provide access to opportunities in higher education for all students. In addition, its sibling site Admishionary (www.admishionary.com) provides students with in-depth walk-throughs and advice for prospective applicants written by admissions officers and counselors throughout the country. The company was founded in 2007 by Sandy Gibson, Brad Milne, and Breanden Beneschott. Admish is headquartered in Princeton, New Jersey. Students High school students create free Admish profiles containing a wide range of information - from academics and extracurriculars, to athletics and artistic activities, and even to their favorite books, movies, music and quotes. This provides them with the opportunity to showcase themselves to colleges, in Admish's words, as "more than a standardized test or a 500-word essay." Once they have published their profiles, students can join the organizational networks for their high schools (Admish has compiled profiles for each of the over 13,000 U.S. schools), extracurricular programs, and more - including colleges and universities they are interested in learning about. They can then build up their own network of Facebook-style "friends" - called "My People" - to stay in touch with classmates, guidance counselors, admissions officers, teachers and parents. Admish also maintains an intra-site messaging system, dubbed "My Communication," that allows users to send emails and notes to other users. This contains separate inboxes for messages from colleges the student has expressed interest in, and ones expressing interest in the student. Students can search for colleges or universities in Admish's database of over 5,000 schools, as well as access pictures, virtual tours, blogs, and general information about each one. They can also contact registered admissions officers. To ensure the privacy of its users, Admish has incorporated a simple and secure permissions system into each student's profile, allowing them to choose what groups and individuals can see various aspects of their profiles. For example, a student might allow admissions officers and guidance counselors, but not other students, to see his or her SAT/ACT scores. Students can modify their profiles at any time (updating, for instance, standardized test scores, awards, or even their new favorite word). Guidance Counselors High school guidance counselors and college access professionals, can use Admish to stay in touch with their students, monitoring their progress and connecting them through the medium of social networking. As with students, educators can create personal profiles (albeit without SAT scores, GPAs, or class rank). They are also provided with the "My People" and "My Communication" features of the site, and are free to build their own network of friends. In addition, Admish provides educators with pertinent resources to help their high-schoolers search for (and apply to) colleges. Guidance counselors must be validated by Admish before accessing all of their profile features (such as administering their school's profile, interacting with their students, etc.) This occurs through the provision and input of a registration code. Admissions Officers College admissions officers can use Admish to search for, identify, and contact students who they think would be a good match for their school. As with other types of users, they can utilize a personal profile, the "My People" network-building mechanism, and the "My Communication" tool to contact students. They can also administer the organizational profiles of their college or university. According to Admish co-founder and Director of Technology Breanden Beneschott, this "allows schools to target students...more effectively than the current method [of] purchasing lists of PSAT scores from the College Board." Parents Admish provides some capabilities for parents, who can register for access to information, tips, and advice for the college admissions process.
