Tone Capone In the volatile world of music, most industry insiders vie to climb the corporate ladder just with the hope of maintaining stability in an unpredictable and chaotic business. Few among them stand out as legends: shining as the brightest jewels on the crown of stardom, they are the trendsetters who pioneer their path to fame and fortune via their unique contributions to the field. What makes these legends stand out from the crowded field? Some say it’s passion. Others more skeptical, say it’s insight balanced with wisdom which reveals a master genius waiting to be discovered. From the get go, Tone Capone, knew he had the right combination of both; plus the level of commitment necessary to see his dream come to fruition—and with Hip-Hop he made it all happen. The pivotal career launch began in 1990-91 at Stony Brook University where, as an undergraduate he worked on the air as a Freshman radio DJ. At a time when college radio played an intricate role in the promotions department of record companies, Tone was able to establish vital relationships with key executives and began his rise in the interlocked worlds of radio and music. What the press commonly refer to as Tone’s “Midas Touch” has for the past decade altered the landscape of the recording industry. From garnering radio spin and stretching the mainstream envelope in the service of the grand masters including R-Kelly, Mobb Deep, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Ciara, Beanie Siegel, Petey Pablo and at TVT Records (where he promoted the careers of Yin Yang Twins Pitbull, and Lil’ Jon), Tone established his permanent foothold in the world of music. His consistent diligence and social savvy allowed him to be instrumental at holding down the promotions and marketing department for Jive, TVT and Motown Records in the new millennium. In 2007, he also founded MusicIndustryOnline.info, a social networking website specifically designed for helping aspiring young artists, musicians, film makers, and other art entrepreneurs get connected. Currently at CMG / Universal Motown as the Executive Vice President, Tone occupies his time by creatively delivering that same insight and energy that catapulted him to the realm of movers and shakers. His main source of contentment? Elevating individual expression to prominence in the sea of sound. “By helping others achieve their dreams”, he explains further, I went to Motown, and we released the first ever Salsa and Reggaeton album, "Los Cocorocos." Now, our current release showcases multi-platinum artist Zion (formerly of Zion Y Lennox) with his debut album "The Perfect Melody." Going GOLD, It’s extremely satisfying having had the opportunity to really grow with this company, to be part of its overall success and the direction we’re heading is truly remarkable”. In addition to holding down the fort at CMG / Universal Motown, Tone is the executive producer for the only news and politically oriented show on New York's Hot 97FM: Street Soldiers. Hosted by Fox 5 news reporter Lisa Evers, Street Soldiers addresses a vast array of issues affecting the hip-hop community where Tone and his staff industriously execute the shows weekly broadcast to millions of listeners in the Tri State area. And when he's not flexing his muscle at the radio station, the young exec is involved in one of his million other projects via his entertainment marketing firm Street Legal: consulting for independent record labels and artists, managing the marketing for hip-hop’s star search aka: the Fight Klub (a bi-weekly battle aired on MTV 2 and distributed by Universal Music Group), or penning his latest book rightfully titled, Get Signed: A guide for the aspiring artist and entrprenuer. “Reaching people with the right information is both an art and a science”, explains Tone. “Everybody wants to be empowered, and they know that nothing gets done without being educated and connected. So naturally, they want to read” and build relationships, and Get Signed is exactly that: must have info for inspiring and guiding each new generation of aspiring artists and entrprenuers. Conclusion With a grin barely visible from beneath his fixed stare, he half-jokingly adds retirement in 2 or 3 years to his mental list of goals and objectives. Explains Tone, “I've always been the type of person who rarely places limitations on the future. Opportunities come with their own set of challenges and rewards. And whatever that involves, is mine-- from the very moment I start writing on a piece, or the instant that I select a hit record, or even the moment a client walks in the door, those aspirations all become as fundamental to my life as each and every breath I take. As a matter of
personal philosophy then, even the smallest projects deserve serious attention to detail. Thorough critical analysis comes with the territory”. The net result of his endeavors is the hallmark of triumph that few would expect: more work. “Right now, I'm consulting various projects, adds Tone. “Because imagination is intangible, the creative flow in the minds of producers (as much as in the heart of the artists) often doesn’t conform to a given schedule. Multiple projects are initiated simultaneously--but they rarely finish that way. In fact, one of the few predictable traits of production is the sheer magnitude of content. So sure, being at the right place at the right time might have contributed something to translating my love of music into a rewarding career. But then, when the sun begins to set, and you know it’s time to call it a day, I’ll be introspective and see the day’s work as another page of my legend. By inspiring creative to recreate itself, performance manifests as power-- in my word, the mind of the world, and the world of mine. Sources[edit]www.allhiphop.com

Parties[edit]The ruling Democratic Justice Party (DJP) of President Chun Doo-hwan manged to remain the largest party in the National Assembly but faced a tougher challange from the united opposition. The New Korea Democratic Party (NKDP) was formed by former members of the Democratic Korea Party, notably opposition leaders Kim Dae Jung and Kim Young-sam. The party made strong gains across the country, largely thanks to its focus on greater democratic rights. The Korea National Party had been formed by former members of the (DJP) in the run-up to the 1981 elections. After making some key gains, the party lost ground in these elections, largely thanks to the gains of the NKDP. The opposition Democratic Korea Party had been the premier opposition party following the 1981 elections, however it suffered major defections to the NKDP. The loss of Dae Jung and Young-sam were seen as crucial to the parties setbacks. Results[edit]

Biography[edit]Fairfield was born to a slave-holding family in Virginia, however he disagreed with his family's livelihood as he became a young man. When he was twenty, he helped a childhood friend escape from his uncle's farm taking him to Ohio. Upon his return to Virginia, he learned that his uncle was planning to have him arrested and took several more slaves belonging to his uncle and led them through the mountains of northern Virginia and on to Canada. He soon became involved with the Abolitionist movement after helping a childhood friend escape from his uncle's farm and, during the 1850s, quickly establishing himself with a reputation as one of the most cunning conductors on the Underground Railroad. Primarily using routes directly to the Northeastern United States through Appalachia, he specialized in reuniting broken families. In one incident, he had been asked by a group of freed slaves to rescue relatives still enslaved in Charleston, West Virginia (then still part of Virginia) where they worked at the saltworks along the Kanawha River. Fairfield, with the assistance of two freedmen, traveled to Charleston posing as a businessman from Louisville, Kentucky. Ingratiating himself with the local slaveholders, he persuaded them to invest in a plan to build boats to haul salt extracted from the Kanawha salt brines and haul his cargo down river to be sold at a substantial profit. While he oversaw the construction of two boats, his "slaves" would scout the area in order to locate their relatives. During the next two nights, the boats were loaded with runaway slaves and quietly sent down river. Fairfield would raise the alarm hours later, furious over the "loss" of his slaves and property, and took it upon himself to organize a search party to overtake the fugitive slaves. Suggesting they split up to search the surrounding area, he arranged to rendezvous with the group but instead rode off in the opposite direction to catch up with the escape slaves which he eventually led to Canada. Fairfield often went to sometimes excessive lengths, often living in a community for months at a time in order to gain the confidence of local residents. He often posed as a slave trader, slaveholder or a peddler, although his disguises were varied and, on one occasion, impersonated an undertaker managing to help twenty-eight slaves escape in a staged funeral procession. Another time, he used wigs and makeup to disguise his charges. Purchasing train tickets for them, they traveled from Harper's Ferry eventually arriving in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. [3] During a twelve-year period, he would make numerous trips to almost every slave state freeing several thousand slaves and forwarding them to Canada via agents of the Underground Railroad. His disappeared shortly before the outbreak of the Civil war, however an unidentified man fitting Fairfield description reportedly died during a slave insurrection in Tennessee in 1860 or 1861. The man, who had recently arrived in Cumberland County, had been killed in a failed attempt to organize a mass escape of slaves. Although many conductors often disagreed with his methods including arming his passengers and resorting to violence when necessary, he was greatly admired in the Underground Railroad. Levi Coffin, a Quaker and fellow abolitionist, said of Fairfield,

The album was rapturously received and is slowly becoming a radio favorite, having tracks played on Original FM, Radio Lion and Radio Kesgrave. In October the band went on to support The Happy Mondays at Brixton’s Jamm and in November they won the AKG Unsigned Heroes competition at 2007’s Music Live in Birmingham. On New Years Eve they rounded off the year back where it started at London’s Dirty South where they supported Babyshambles and, for the second time in 2007, Alabama 3. So far this year, Moral Soul have been nominated for a Red Stripe Music Award and an Indy Award. In January the band supported Palladium and Alphabeat at Brighton’s Barfly and in March they were back at Brixton’s Jamm supporting Inspiral Carpets' Tom Hingley. Press Quotes[edit]“Great music, great voice, enough said” - Red Stripe Music Awards “Moral Soul are incredible” - South Scene “Lovely stuff” - Dirty South “Closer in sound to indie royalty The Verve than any modern post-punk four piece, Moral Soul balanced soft indie melodies with darker, more experimental influences” - Wessex Scene “Watch out for this one. Moral Soul may only have a few more dingy basements to play in before they get recognised” - Caught In The Crossfire Sources[edit]http://www.moralsoul.co.uk/ http://moralsoul.bravehost.com/band.html http://www.redstripe.net/redstripe/venues/talking-heads http://www.southscene.net/reviews/live/article.php?id=3390 http://www.caughtinthecrossfire.com/music/live/2519 89.240.228.78 (talk) 23:08, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
