It's a cookie. The sources cited are recipes; many of them don't even call it Izmir Bomb Cookie but rather Nutella Stuffed Cookie. Needless to say, no coverage, significant or otherwise, so fails WP:GNG and probably much else besides. (I would have requested speedy, but the refbombing is so plentiful that I didn't think it would pass.) I'm including Turkey in the sorting categories, but I really don't think this has anything to do with Turkey. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:44, 2 April 2021 (UTC)

- Weak keep. Recipes don't contribute to notability, nor do corporate websites. But the articles in CNN Turk and Hurriyet – both reputable Turkish sources – do appear to recognize this dessert as an important part of local and national cuisine. Such coverage is probably enough to eke out a GNG pass, although I freely admit that it's a borderline case. (Future participants are advised to search under the Turkish name, "İzmir Bombası". The grand majority of the coverage is in Turkish.) Extraordinary Writ (talk) 05:59, 3 April 2021 (UTC)
- Comment The Hürriyet and CNN articles (which are identical, both supplied by the Demirören News Agency; therefore they don't count as two sources, but one) make it quite clear that this isn't some "important part of local and national cuisine" at all, but an invention of a local baker from less than ten years ago, which has recently become popular on social media. (Future participants are advised to search for sources that are older than a decade and do not refer to Mr Acar's bakery shop.) --DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:39, 3 April 2021 (UTC)

- Comment We would usually merge the reliably sourced content to Qurabiya but I don't think there is any reliably sourced content. There are some problems with the quality of sourcing and editing but there's enough here for me to believe that foreign language sources exist that would contribute to GNG. - Keep per WP:BEFORE and WP:GNG. This is a cookie that I want to taste. Bearian (talk) 20:34, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
- Keep I've expanded the article with some text translated from the Turkish Wikipedia and removed a few weird sentences like İzmir Bomb Kurabiye are now on the list of anyone who comes to İzmir or goes back to their hometown. I think with the sources above (excluding the recipes of course) it passes WP:GNG. ~Styyx Talk? ^-^ 16:55, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
