One cited source ("Muslims in the Philippines" by Cesar Adib Majul) failed the verification process. The keyword "1258" only occurs three times in the book, and it only appears when the topic is about Baghdad. One page 23, the keyword "1258" only appears when talking about the seal of Sultan Muhammad Fadl of the Sultanate of Sulu who ascended the throne in the year 1842. Other keywords such as "Raja Ahmad" and "Majapahit" yielded zero results. The Mariano A. Henson source is inaccessible. The apparent lack of reliable sources to support this article also supports its lack of significant coverage. Stricnina (talk) 19:08, 11 February 2020 (UTC)

- Comment I have a weird sense of deja vu about this AfD. I’m sure we deleted an article on the same topic about a year ago. Spooky...... Mccapra (talk) 22:27, 11 February 2020 (UTC)
- Comment Ah no I see we deleted Battle of Manila (1365) and Battle of Manila (1405). Battle of Manila (1500) is looking pretty ropey too. Mccapra (talk) 02:35, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

- Delete Lacks significant coverage. Angus1986 (talk) 10:43, 13 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete: Per nom. Battle of Manila (1500) should be nominated for deletion as well, as per Mccapra. SUPER ASTIG 01:24, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete as part of a run of ‘battles of Manila’ that are poorly sourced and very doubtful. Mccapra (talk) 07:30, 14 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete - This should be deleted because every single sentence has a citation needed and a need quotation to verify template at the end, which means it has no citations, which means the article is not notable. Also, I had tried to find links about the battle, and nothing showed up. Analog Horror, (talk to me) 22:21, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
- Delete. There's zero evidence this ever happened. It appears to be propaganda to justify a 21st-Century invasion of the Philippines. Bearian (talk) 00:31, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
