Bill Garcia

Unnotable local/regional radio personality. Fails WP:BIO and primarily appears to be an autobiographical piece written by Garcia himself or a relative/friend/associate from the editing history. Weak Delete This guy has been a personality in Houston, Cleveland, Charlotte and Chicago. This sort of makes him more than a local subject. I think notability could be established if he has won any awards or if we could establish notable ratings success. I don't think the single award shown merits international encyclopedic status. Very Weak Delete as subject has been a subject of quite a lot of news coverage, but usually only a paragraph or two in a column or article about various radio personalities or (as in this article) in the lede but not the actual focus of the article. This is one situation where the apparent COI of the author could help here since they would be most likely to be able to point out news articles where this Bill Garcia is the subject out of the sea of thousands of news articles that mention a "Bill Garcia". Given the AIR award and the high level of secondary coverage, just a couple of on-point articles would push me over to a !vote of Keep. - Dravecky (talk) 12:37, 21 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
