The result was Speedy G6, non-controversial cleanup deletion. Jclemens (talk) 04:49, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
AfDs for this article:
- Charismatic Christianity/version 2 (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
There already is a page Charismatic Christianity which provides much more information and substance than does this minimal page. Creator of the page is being notified of this discussion. John Carter (talk) 21:31, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: This debate has been included in the list of Christianity-related deletion discussions. —John Carter (talk) 21:38, 9 April 2009 (UTC)http:/upwiki/wikipedia/en/7/70/Button_lower_letter.png[reply]
- Delete Odd article, I don't see why Wikipedia needs two versions of Charismatic Christianity. Delete as redundant. 21:52, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Comment - We ought to wait until the article creator comes in. This looks distinctly like a rewrite-in-progress, so maybe it ought to be userfied. Grandmartin11 (talk) 22:10, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Voting delete per Anthony Appleyard. Grandmartin11 (talk) 16:22, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete as it is redundant and contains nothing but links to other pages. As for Grandmartins comment, if the creator wishes to shed insight onto why this article was created it would be welcomed, but as it stands now the page should be deleted, if the creator desires for it to be userfied I have no objections. - Delete Two versions of an article? Is there a competition for best version or something? If so, this version's definitely not winning. Timmeh! 23:23, 9 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment I agree this is an odd duck of an article; looks like it was recently moved to this spot. Seems like a good candidate for G6 or G7 once things get straightened out. Jclemens (talk) 01:10, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete Unless there are significant changes to the article's content, I don't see a strong reason in defending V2.0 -- especially when the original article is more than adequate in covering the subject. Pastor Theo (talk) 01:12, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- It's not a duplicate version, or an "odd duck". This is, quite simply, Anthony Appleyard fulfilling a request at Wikipedia:Requested moves. This is the page that used to be at the title that was the target of the move. The "version 2" is Anthony Appleyard's, and you'll notice that this is simply xyr standard practice for requested moves. Uncle G (talk) 04:08, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
*Close this nomination per Uncle G's explanation, and let Anthony Appleyard complete the merge process. Rklear (talk) 04:29, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete per Anthony Appleyard. Rklear (talk) 16:27, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- At 10:45, 2 February 2009 when I obeyed a request to move Charismatic (Christians) to Charismatic Christianity, Charismatic Christianity already had content, which I moved to another name (Charismatic Christianity/version 2), as, if pages X and Y have parallel edit histories, and I delete Y and then move page X to Y, the result is liable to accidents if the new Y (which was X) must be temporarily deleted for history-merging or history-splitting, as the new Y is sitting over a deleted parallel history. OK, delete Charismatic Christianity/version 2. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 11:40, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Ultimately delete, but not at once This looks like a disambiguation page to me, at present. If it has merit as such, it should be renamed to Charismatic Christianity (disambiguation) and the present title deleted (rather than left as a redirect). Alternatively, it should be merged, probably by providing "main" or "see also" links from Charismatic Christianity. In either case the outcome will eventually be to delete. Peterkingiron (talk) 13:20, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Page Charismatic Christianity contains all the matter (the links and the info in the leading line) that is in page Charismatic Christianity/version 2. There is no text-merging work that can be done. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 15:03, 10 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
