No indication of notability. Fails WP:PROFESSOR JayJayWhat did I do? 18:51, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
Delete Just being a teacher is not notable in itself. The second paragraph hints at importance, but it is unsourced. Piguy101 (talk) 18:54, 16 July 2014 (UTC)- Thanks David Eppstein for sourcing the second paragraph. I am striking my !vote. Piguy101 (talk) 00:26, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

- Speedy Keep—h-index of 57, with his most-cited paper clocking in at 1585 cites and 30 papers with >100 cites. Only 19 Canada Excellence Research Chairs have been awarded thus far, each award comes with a serious amount of money (up to $10M over seven years), and he managed to snag one. The subject of this article runs laps around WP:ACADEMIC. Lesser Cartographies (talk) 19:31, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
- Speedy keep per WP:PROF#C1 and #C5. In particular the claim by the nominator that there is no indication of notability is false; the CERC is an indication of notability. —David Eppstein (talk) 20:16, 16 July 2014 (UTC)
