Does not meet notability guidelines per WP:BKCRIT. All assertions of notability are unsourced. —Josh3580talk/hist 05:47, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- Delete. Fails WP:BKCRIT as mentioned above. Rafaelgriffin (talk) 08:50, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
- Redirect to The_Freedom_Writers_Diary#Further_reading. The problem is that while the topic of the book, the Freedom Writers, is very notable, this particular book is not. I can't find where it has received any actual coverage. What I think would be a good alternative would be to just redirect to a "further reading" section on the main article for the book. If further people in the class decide to write memoirs, we can always flesh it out somewhat and add a section about others writing companion pieces to the main book, but I think that for now a further reading section would be a nice compromise. Comment to closing administrator: If this article gets deleted, can you please also delete the newly-created author redirect Darrius Garrett? That is a notable basketball player whose article hasn't been written yet and it would help WikiProject College Basketball editors to see his name as a red link on articles such as this and this. Thanks. Jrcla2 (talk) 21:12, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
I'd support this, although I would note that this was originally a standalone article. I ended up redirecting it because it lacked independent notability from the book. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 05:20, 21 January 2014 (UTC)Yeah I understand. It looks like this is going to get deleted, so I wanted to make sure a player whose bio I do intend on eventually creating gets deleted as well, just to remind me/WP:CBB editors that Darrius Garrett is not actually created yet. Jrcla2 (talk) 14:44, 23 January 2014 (UTC)- NOTE: Darrius Garrett is now a created basketball biography off of the redirect. Please ignore my previous request to have it deleted. - 'Redirect with brief summary added to further reading - it would be good to add a sentence or two following the redirect, Sadads (talk) 22:14, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

- Merge to The Freedom Writers Diary. It has some local press coverage[1][2][3], but not enough to be notable. --Colapeninsula (talk) 12:33, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
