Kept previously because database sources showed that he had 2 caps. Being an international footballer is no longer a valid reason to have an article and WP:GNG and WP:SPORTBASIC are, instead, the relevant criteria. I can't find any non-database coverage on him so I don't think that he even passes WP:SPORTBASIC #5.
