- Seemingly on-the-cusp musician not meeting the notability yet. There's one reliable source from WHEC TV and a Gawker piece that i'm not convinced escapes "trivial mention" status. Declined prod with reasons given. tomasz. 17:41, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Note: This debate has been included in the list of Bands and musicians-related deletion discussions. —Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 17:53, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Comment – There is also a brief article in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle that mentions her tour with Ben Folds. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 18:14, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - I've added several additional citations. Notability seems to be established. ++Arx Fortis (talk) 19:06, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete, non-notable youtube performer with only one self-released CD to her name. I almost changed my mind when I saw the claim that she opened for Ben Folds, but that was at one event, not a tour, and it wasn't really an "opening" for the group, but several local performers. Corvus cornixtalk 20:54, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- She actually played four dates, in four different states throughout May. --Sqrnookle (talk) 14:52, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Four dates in a country like the UK is barely even a tour, let alone America. tomasz. 16:54, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- It was in America, not the UK (Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina). And no one did claim she supported the whole Ben Folds tour; however, the multiple dates in different states do signify more than the original poster implied. --Sqrnookle (talk) 15:01, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Got some good referencing going on, and enough look legit that I'm inclined to give her the benefit of the doubt on the notability front. -FrankTobia (talk) 02:24, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete She hasn't won any awards or had her songs in the American top 40. Article may have been created by a fan of hers. The 'Bushman' reference is a stub here which does not establish her notability. Artene50 (talk) 08:42, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Who created the article isn't relevant. Also, though awards and top 40 hits would confirm her notability, the lack of those things doesn't show a lack of notability. --HughCharlesParker (talk - contribs) 10:07, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- But the lack of any WP:BAND criteria would, however. tomasz. 16:58, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Several good references, which back up an article on a musician lots of people seem to know about. Seems to me to satisfy WP:Notability. --HughCharlesParker (talk - contribs) 10:07, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - true, the article may need a little work, but her popularity does seem to be increasingly on the rise so reliable sources are more and more likely to become available soon. --Sqrnookle (talk) 14:52, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - For those of us that play, Julia is the face of the youthful ukulele player. She is a cult icon in the world of youtube-watching musicians. --velvetseas (talk) 11:36, 23 June 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.127.158.18 (talk) [reply]
- Comment. That isn't really one of our notability criteria. tomasz. 16:26, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - I'm not 100% sure how relevant this is to this debate, but as of today, her album Left Right Wrong is listed at (and purchasable from) CDBaby (http://cdbaby.com/cd/julianunes), it is listed on billboard.com (http://www.billboard.com/bbcom/discography/index.jsp?pid=996155&aid=1134742) and it is purchasable from Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/Left-Right-Wrong-Julia-Nunes/dp/B0016OM2PA). - I think the article is fairly well referenced and factual now. She's clearly on the cusp of notability, rather than than fully there. (Good luck Julia! I know that's not a reason to keep ;-) ) Maybe common sense comes down just on the side of 'keep', though? Bmju (talk) 11:19, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Oh yeah, and she meets, or arguably meets, notability guidelines #4, #7 & #9. Bmju (talk) 11:26, 29 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete: not meeting the notability standard. The references are either promotional or trivial.--CarpenterSF (talk) 06:04, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - Julia Nunes is an emerging artist from NY made famous by Youtube and now has an album Left Right Wrong. http://www.last.fm/music/julia%20nunes
- Comment. Sorry, but those aren't acceptable "keep" reasons. tomasz. 16:25, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
