The result was keep. This closure appears to have been left over from June 2006. Sam Blacketer 21:48, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that this page should be deleted for it's lack of content and it's misleading title. List of Christians? It is not an entire list of christians, and therefore should be deleted. Wesleystuben 21:29, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Most Wikipedia lists are incomplete, many (including this one) deliberately so. And it has plenty of content: it contains links to numerous specialized lists of Christians, plus a listing of ones who don't fall under any more specific page. If this was deleted, it would be more difficult to navigate from, say, Lists of Roman Catholics to List of Quakers to List of popes. The page is useful. You'd have better luck arguing for a page move to a more accurate title, like Lists of Christians, than arguing for outright deletion when we still have pages or dozens of other religions, like List of Buddhists and List of Muslims. -Silence 21:33, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. Very same reason as Silence gave above. If anything, rename the article to List of Famous Christians. Deleting it is definitely overkill in every sense of the word. Valer 03:16, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep and Rename to List of Notable Christians. As pointed out, perhaps the name is misleading but there is definitely worthy content that is painstakingly gathered. In fact, if we can have a a list of porn stars, I don't see why can't we have this as well. -- Evanx(tag?) 03:19, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- I retract my original statement, but I still think it should be renamed as EvanX mentioned to "List of Notable Christians. Wesleystuben 14:46, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
- Speedy close: Nominator has retracted his or her nomination. Failing that, Keep: I just restarted the list from scratch, so of course it will not be anywhere near complete. Also, Oppose renaming of list to List of notable Christians or List of famous Christians. In all such lists on Wikipedia, persons listed must be notable, making these name changes redundant. - Nick, check the dates on everyone else's contribution. I don't know what's happening here but we had a recent AfD on the same article. Sam Blacketer 21:48, 27 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
