The result was delete. If the last source is an interview then it won't count to notability on independence grounds. Very clear consensus. Spartaz Humbug! 02:31, 10 July 2023 (UTC)

Promotional. The creator has COI and got banned in Persian Wikipedia for this. And they created the article in 19(!) languages. Deleted in Persian Wikipedia. Many references don't actually mention him and most of them are not reliable. Already soft deleted where the creator contested and got it back right after deletion (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mehdi Tehrani) Ladsgroupoverleg 22:47, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

- For example: Out of 15 of references mentioned, ten of them are Hamshari Online where he works in. That's not an independent source. Ladsgroupoverleg 22:49, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Or the fact that "Ethics and weapons of mass destruction : religious and secular perspectives. Cambridge University Press." is mentioned as a reference but I got the e-book and searching his name doesn't return any results. In which page this is written? This is a WP:FAKE violation and I'm fairly certain the Hebrew source will be similar too Ladsgroupoverleg 22:55, 2 July 2023 (UTC)
- Delete: Per nom, clear violation of WP:FAKE. UtherSRG (talk) 00:04, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

- keep With all due respect, This article contains Wikipedia's policies. Mehdi Tehrani has WP:BIO and Wp:JOURNALIST on Wikipedia. In fact, he doesn't need to become Wikipedia Notability. All References are independent and reliable . He is a famous retired film critic (very clear mention in reference number 1 and 2 in English and Farsi) and famous veteran. Due to his retirement (Wounded in Action Illness (WIA)) in 2014, he does not work in Hamshahri online or other media as a employee and member. (specifically mentioned in reference #2) or no.4. end of line in paragraph one of lead: As an academic journalist and film critic, he usually wrote for two Iranian newspapers: Ettela'at and Hamshahri. article Mehdi Tehrani was created on December 19, 2019 in Farsi Wiki and on March 23, 2022. 3 years later in English Wiki. after all Weak resource was removed and new resources were added. one things: The person who requested removal is an administrator in Farsi Wiki. I am a simple user. Why should he Hounding (WP:HOUND) me on English Wikipedia? two requested for one Article for deletion only in 10 days?--Patricia Mannerheim (talk) 12:49, 3 July 2023 (UTC)

- Delete. I see only passing mentions as far as GNG goes (mostly in newspapers that the subject writes for), little sign of WP:NPROF, and no assertion of WP:NAUTHOR. It is relatively difficult to search for sources in Farsi, and I am watching this discussion in case better evidence of notability arises. Russ Woodroofe (talk) 16:26, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- Comment:@Russ Woodroofe: Hi. Please Look sorce no.7and no.13. Article no 7 is Totally About subject. Wrote by prof. Vera kotloskaya and translated by Fredrick Alosi. (Look blow the source) At these sources talk about subject( Mehdi Tehrani) and mention some notable people such as Arthur Asa berger (he was doctoral advisor for tehrani) and Artuer knight. Who told about him .as professor and film critic: Sorcre no.13,.exactly mention about meeting and visit of them in Tehran. Picture of they had in article as so.i think the subject definitely had WP:NPROF. As A full professor in film Studies. sources I mentioned prove this. Thanks so much. -- Patricia Mannerheim (talk) 18:48, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- Source 13 does not contribute significantly to notability. Source 7 is not nothing, but is also of unclear independence from the subject. Both are from the same newspaper (which the subject is also affiliated with). I do not see GNG here. Little sign of WP:NPROF, which requires quite a bit more than just being a full professor. Russ Woodroofe (talk) 22:23, 3 July 2023 (UTC)
- Delete. No pass of WP:Prof or WP:GNG. Xxanthippe (talk) 22:41, 3 July 2023 (UTC).

- Comment:for WP:Prof or WP:GNG: add another source: no.6:lead of article is translate to english: We have had a conversation with Dr. Mehdi Tehrani, a famouse film critic and full professor of film studies and a member of the Film Age Rating Council, about the formation of this council, how it works and the challenges it faces. You can read its dissolution below: please see that.Patricia (Talk) 16:05, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
