Myrtle Beach Convention Center

Non-notable local convention/center. Most of the news coverage is related to somebody trespassing on top of the building in 2017. The article has no sources, makes no claim to notability, and the first sentence of the article is literally "The following is a commercial for Myrtle Beach convention center." I thought about proposed deletion, but decided that an AfD discussion is probably a better method in case somebody can find something useful about this. Keep The article, about a convention center with an 8,000 seat arena, just needed a bit of cleanup. Previous version was heavily promotional. It's easily notable with press clippings from all over the state dating back to the 1960s. I've gone through and added enough sources which should more than get it over the notability line. Keep. I don't like to see AFDs _forcing_ improvements. Just because one or a few persons don't see a lot of merit in an article, how does that give them the right to run a drill forcing many others to respond, or else the article is lost. Nothing in particular about this deletion nominator, but shouldn't there be some limit or impact back upon deletion nominators. --Doncram (talk) 03:51, 26 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comment This one's bad judgment on my part. When I came across the article, it was literally an advertisement. So I rushed my WP:BEFORE when I shouldn't have. I withdrew my nom so I didn't waste everybody's time, but I didn't close the discussion because I'm not 100% sure how to do that and I don't want to break the AfD log (I'm accident-prone, my limit to break things has no bounds). I ran into some issues with a previous Afd because my search engine puts a strong emphasis on USA-domained sites, and most of the RS were registered in Canada.
