The result was merge to Don Mattingly#Personal life. Or if there is a preference to the LA Dodgers minor league players article. Stifle (talk) 08:48, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non notable minor leaguer, never played above Class-A and has now been released by his most recent team. Career stats and quote from his dad indicate his baseball career is most likely over. Spanneraol (talk) 03:51, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete I thought about deletion when I saw the news come over the wire that he was released. He was once considered a top prospect (first round draft pick and all), which overruled my concern that he only had an article because of his famous father (much like my concern with relatives of Jon Papelbon and Hank Blalock), but he's now been traded for a nobody and released. His chances of making the majors are next to nil. If any details are salvageable, they can be merged to Don Mattingly's family section, but Preston is not worthy of a stand alone article. – Muboshgu (talk) 16:14, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Merge or redirect to Don Mattingly#Personal life, which already addresses Preston Mattingly to some extent. Rlendog (talk) 11:31, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Merge and redirect to Los Angeles Dodgers minor league players. He was signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers on April 8. Does not meet WP:WPBB/N for standalone article. —Bagumba (talk) 01:35, 13 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
