- Simon Dukes (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) (delete) – (View log)
Cannot find any reference to this person playing for the team indicated. Furthermore, the user that created the page used to have the username Dukes.Simon and indicated on the username change form that it was his real name (see here). I would suggest that it is likely that this article is a hoax unless reliable sources that I could not find exist. Camw (talk) 00:26, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete - Seems like a WP:HOAX. There's no mention of any "Simon Dukes" here (although admittedly I'm not sure if that's the right page) but a search for " "Simon Dukes" + Terengganu " should return something, and that's not the case. The ref was also added to the team page, it will have to be removed. Actually I'd argue for a very speedy WP:CSD#G3 here. §FreeRangeFrog 00:40, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete. Unverifiable. No mention of the word "dukes" anywhere on ganusoccer.net. Whilst only a fansite, it does appear to be active and routinely updated. No luck with Google either, which would be expected to churn up something. THEN WHO WAS PHONE? (talk) 03:39, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - not too many 15-year old professional footballers about.
If he does indeed play for the club (which cannot be verified) it is presumably only in the youth team and therefore not notable anywayIf a 15-year old Australian was playing fully professional football in a foreign country it would surely have garnered some press coverage somewhere in the world. The fact that it hasn't suggests either that he is only playing for the club's non-notable under-15 team or that in fact he isn't playing for the club at all -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:00, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- The guidelines only say the league they're playing needs to be notable. Assuming he plays the youth team based on his age is discrimination and not backed up by sources. Instead of trying to discount notability, stick with the lack of sources. - Mgm|(talk) 12:33, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- No, the guideline says that the league has to be fully professional, which youth football for 15-year olds clearly isn't. And even if the guidelines did say that the league had to simply be notable, under-15 youth leagues aren't notable so he wouldn't pass anyway..... -- ChrisTheDude (talk) 12:35, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete as probable hoax. GiantSnowman 13:36, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
- Delete - Appears to be a hoax, google search on 'Simon Dukes Terengganu' returns no relevant links. LK (talk) 20:17, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete!!! - I personally know Simon Dukes and that he started this hoax. His username was Dukes.Simon until he changed it. Wouldn't normally rat out friends, but my love of Wikipedia comes ahead of fraternal love.
