The subject of this article does not appear to meet the general notability guideline or the WP:NHOCKEY guideline for ice hockey players. The editor who removed the prod noted that this player won the 2008 WHL Playoff MVP, however I am not convinced that this is a major award so I am bringing this to AfD for the community to decide. - Keep Playoff MVP is certainly a major award. -DJSasso (talk) 23:48, 21 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep. WP:HOCKEY had the discussion in the past and it was decided that playoff MVP's are notable. Patken4 (talk) 00:23, 22 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

- Keep - Agree that Playoff MVP is a major award. Rlendog (talk) 19:28, 24 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Keep - This is something from WP:NHOCKEY that makes them notable - # Achieved preeminent honours (all-time top ten career scorer, won a major award given by the league, first team all-star, All-American) in a lower minor league such as the Central Hockey League or the United Hockey League, in a major junior league such as those of the Canadian Hockey League, or in a major collegiate hockey league (Note: merely playing in a major junior league or major collegiate hockey is not enough to satisfy inclusion requirements); Tyler plays in the Western Hockey Leauge, part of the Canadian Hockey League, and was named to a first-team all star this year as well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Usasoccer2010 (talk • contribs) 02:05, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
