- Just for the record, the term "MP" is not used to mean state legislators in the United States. I'm mentioning this because you also changed the article to read "MP" instead of "member" — but state legislatures are not parliaments, so their members are not "members of parliament". - thanks for your explain Bearcat, In my country Myanmar, state legislators is called State and Regional Hluttaws, "hulttaw" meaning in Burmese language as "parliament".
