- The result of the discussion was: Relisted at Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2014 November 29. -- Black Falcon (talk) 00:18, 29 November 2014 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Delete. There are simply not enough articles to meet the threshold for this stub category. Given that Category:Pre-1900 film stubs and Category:Silent French film stubs are both underpopulated, this category should be deleted, and the contents upmerged to the other two categories. Fortdj33 (talk) 21:39, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Keep 50 articles seems a reasonable amount. I was expecting it to have 5 or 6 articles before I clicked on the category. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 08:10, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: rename. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:08, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Propose renaming Category:Laboratory high schools to Category:Laboratory schools
- Nominator's rationale: Category:Laboratory high schools in Canada --> Category:Laboratory schools in Canada
Category:Laboratory high schools in the United States --> Category:Laboratory schools in the United States
Probably be a C2D, but filing a CfD just in case. Main article is Laboratory school, and the practice is not restricted to high schools. Paul_012 (talk) 20:34, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support per main article. It also makes sense to start the schools chain before breaking down into school sub-type. SFB 23:10, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: merge. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:07, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Also propose merging

As per previous CFDs[1] and this one[2] and this one in particular[3] dealing with other Tennis players by prefecture, we don't subcategorize per what type of athlete a person is. ...William 17:27, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Upmerge per nom. The close to the latest one suggests these could be speedies. Oculi (talk) 20:20, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: merge. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:06, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Subcategorization is unnecessary here, these aren't separate film series'. Charles Essie (talk) 15:30, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Merge, agree with nomination by Charles Essie, above. Cheers, — Cirt (talk) 20:25, 17 November 2014 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:06, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: There is only one article in this circular tree, and there is likely no others that would ever go into it. Aboutmovies (talk) 05:28, 16 November 2014 (UTC)

[edit]- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: delete/merge as nominated. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:05, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Propose deleting Category:History of territories in Germany (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Propose deleting Category:History of territories in Germany ruled by a secular sovereign (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Propose downmerging Category:History of territories in Germany ruled by an ecclesiastic sovereign to Category:Prince-Bishoprics of the Holy Roman Empire
- Propose deleting Category:History of territories in Germany (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
- Nominator's rationale: WP:OVERLAPCAT and moreover these are unusual category names that do not fit in any established categorisation scheme. The nominated categories together overlap with Category:States of the Holy Roman Empire, the third category overlaps with the merge target. Marcocapelle (talk) 03:07, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Support Names are general, vague and do not fit within a wider tree. This makes them less useful for categorisation. Stand-alone variations should have a specificity to the subject, which is not the case here. SFB 23:12, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

[edit]- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 00:00, 25 November 2014 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Delete. Anachronistic categorisation. The Prince-Bishoprics were (at that time) part of Livonia and the respective bishops are already classified in Category:Prince-Bishops in Livonia. Marcocapelle (talk) 01:12, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
- Delete As invalid anachronistic country application. SFB 23:13, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

The category is for Bishops of Liège, however Liège was (at the time of the Prince-Bishops) not part of Belgium. Liège was part of the Holy Roman Empire and its bishops category has already been classified in Category:Roman Catholic Prince-Bishops of the Holy Roman Empire. [edit]- The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more categories. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the category's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
- The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 23:59, 24 November 2014 (UTC)
- Nominator's rationale: Delete. Currently empty category, my best guess is that the category was meant for Prince-Bishops of Salzburg, however Salzburg was (at the time of the Prince-Bishops) not part of Austria. It could be a speedy delete but I'm nominating it here just in case. Marcocapelle (talk) 01:12, 16 November 2014 (UTC)
