The result of the discussion was: delete following many precedents. The albums and songs sub-cats automatically link to each other and the main article, and I have added links to them from Template:Kero Kero Bonito, and to the Commons category from the main article. – Fayenatic London 08:51, 23 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Unnecessary eponymous category per WP:OCEPON as all content are already in appropriate subcategories that sufficiently link to one another. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 18:30, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That would suggest every musical act with an albums and songs category should have an eponymous parent category. Regardless, those two categories do interlink already as noted. StarcheerspeaksnewslostwarsTalk to me 03:42, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: rename. plicit 02:44, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Don't need both historic team names, we generally use the most recent team names i.e. the article is Yorkshire Jets not Leeds Carnegie/Yorkshire Jets Joseph2302 (talk) 18:19, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep There is no "normal" on Wikipedia. And who exactly is "we" ? It makes no sense to have Leeds Carnegie players in a category for the name of the team they never played for. There is tonnes of work needed to be done on netball articles. Why are you wasting time on this. (talk) 20:12, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strongly oppose this. Djin seems intent on setting up netball categories this way, when it's inconsistent with all other sports categories, which use one category per team (regardless of how many names the team has had). Joseph2302 (talk) 16:34, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not related to the CfD.
The following discussion has been closed. Please do not modify it.
  • Marcocapelle, thanks for your input. I am not going around begging for help with netball articles. Just wish that those that do help would be more constructive. Joseph, I have noticed that you have contributed to netball articles. However your edits have been little more than stubs. You seem more concerned quantity then quality. User:Djln Djln (talk) 13:27, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Start-class articles are better than no articles, as it gives readers the opportunity to find some information on the players/events in question (rather than nothing at all). I'm sorry that my attempts to improve the encyclopedia don't meet with your "expectations" of what should be done, but stop constantly belittling my contributions instead of actually focusing on the issue at hand, which is categorisation being done contrary to all other sports articles, which makes it difficult to properly categorise articles. If you don't stop these attacks on me and my contributions, this will end up at WP:ANI. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:05, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Joseph, stop been so sensitive. Plus you need to stop issuing threats on my talk page. It's not exactly civil !! If you what to survive on Wikipedia you'll need to learn to take a bit of constructive criticism. I disagree with your view that "Start-class articles are better than no articles". You are effectively passing the buck and just creating more work for other editors. Regarding categorization, I think your suggestions are misleading and inaccurate. It is misleading and confusing to have a player in a category named after a team they never played for. Just because some other sports categories have done it, doesn't make it a universal rule. I think Oculi made a reasonable compromise suggestion but you even oppose that. I urge you to reconsider in the spirit of the collaboration you mentioned earlier. User:Djln Djln (talk) 14:36, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • If editors want to disagree with my CfD proposal, that is fine. But calling my editing a waste of time simply because you don't like it is not acceptable. stop been so sensitive. First, it's being, not been. And secondly, stop being so aggressive. Joseph2302 (talk) 14:54, 7 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge. plicit 02:51, 9 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Same team with different names at different time in their history. We generally have one category for all team names where a team has had multiple names. Joseph2302 (talk) 18:18, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Also, there was never a team called "Hurricanes", they were the "London Hurricanes" and "Brunel Hurricanes". If you insist/ there is consensus on splitting players by the team name at the time, then Hurricanes should be sub-split into two separate categories. The result of the discussion was: merge to "Medical and health organizations based in X" rather than health care companies. – Fayenatic London 20:13, 22 February 2022 (UTC) – Fayenatic London 20:13, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: WP:SMALLCAT. Once the listed subcategories are merged, there will be an unnecessary category layer since only 3 subcategories will remain. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 12:09, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. Here are the diffs [2] in case anyone wants to add more "see also" links between these works/ writers (as at William_McGonagall#See_also). – Fayenatic London 10:41, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Category for a main article, Outsider literature, which has since been deleted. 93 (talk) 04:18, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete, not a defining characteristic of the articles in this category. The first article happens to refer to the subject as an outsider writer, but after that very few articles mention this at all. Marcocapelle (talk) 06:26, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: merge. – Fayenatic London 10:59, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Proper format. ★Trekker (talk) 04:10, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: I would have said that a hyphen is more appropriate here, as we're combining adjectives to modify "Dynasty". I can see the argument for an n-dash, but a hyphen seems better to me when we're creating a compound adjective rather than saying "from Nerva to Trajan". That said—should it be "Nervo-" to begin with? "Nerva" is a first-declension noun with an a-stem, so creating an adjective with a second-declension o-stem from it looks wrong. P Aculeius (talk) 10:46, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The parent category is Nerva–Antonine dynasty so I went with n-dash, but overall I don't mind either.★Trekker (talk) 12:33, 5 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: no consensus. – Fayenatic London 10:30, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Parenthetical disambiguators in the middle of a title are pretty rare, and seem to me to be a bad idea. Is putting it at the end better in this case, and others such as Category:Oberliga (ice hockey) seasons and Category:Resovia (volleyball) players? Dicklyon (talk) 20:23, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
