Camaron (talk · contribs · blocks · protections · deletions · page moves · rights · RfA) This is my second edit review, the first being at Wikipedia:Editor review/Camaron1, which occured before I had my username changed to Camaron in January 2008. It has been about 8 months since my first editor review and my contributions and positon on Wikipedia has changed significantley, including myself successfully becoming an admin in January 2008. I would appreciate fresh reviews of my editing, so I can make good use of feedback recived. Camaron | Chris (talk) 13:36, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

- Good work on the references for The Lion King article. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 15:34, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you, it was rather an inefficient use of edits but it needed doing. Camaron | Chris (talk) 16:30, 12 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Your edits are definitely bold. I noticed you moved EA-Land to The Sims Online. you definitely have a large
scale of contributions, and you do things other people are scared to. Nice work. --Johnnywalterboy (talk) 02:35, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- Thank you, I was just browsing and I noticed that article had its page history separated by what appears to be copy and paste moves. It required admin actions to fix it, and not being involved in the debate over the article name I just moved it back to its original title with a note on the talk page. I was originally very cautious when making edits to Wikipedia, but nowadays I know what I am doing more and so I make more bold edits. Camaron | Chris (talk) 11:49, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- It had been a while since this page was created, I think I should say I still wish to receive reviews, I have been/am trying to review other users to give as much back in as I request to be taken out. Camaron | Chris (talk) 12:04, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I have re-submitted this request as I have not received a review as of yet. I am aware I have received two comments on one or two issues, but they are not really reviews (those that made the comments appear to agree with this per the edit history). I am also aware that I started this request a long time ago - the main reason I have not received reviews in my opinion is that I have taken the self-policy of not requesting any, to not put users under pressure, and my editing style is not one which gets widespread attention. I would however really still like a review, as I have made an effort to give other people them, and I do find them very helpful. If there are any issues regarding re-submission and the retaining of the asterisk, my talk page is open. Camaron | Chris (talk) 18:29, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
- I have decided to close this review down permanently as it has been up for almost 6 months. I was hoping for a full review, as I gave to others, but this has not prevailed. I cannot say I am not a little disappointed, as I do find reviews helpful. Why I have not received any reviews I believe is due to not being a highly known or controversial user, and although I reviewed others I did not request reviews other than through a user page notice. I will start a fresh review some time in 2009, with a re-think on strategies to encourage more reviews. Camaron | Chris (talk) 18:50, 12 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Questions
- Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
- I have contributed to a variety of areas of Wikipedia, which can be shown by my membership of a large number of WikiProjects including WikiProject Schools and WikiProject Video Games. I have continually contributed to constantly changing articles such as Eurovision Song Contest 2009, and originally Eurovision Song Contest 2008. I have done some good work on articles such as The Petersfield School and SimCity 4 - more work is needed, but I am happy to how far some articles I have contributed to have improved. I am also currently helping out at the The Lion King, which is a featured article candidate. Other areas I have contributed to include WikiProject Schools assessments, including making some controversial assessments, and also more recently to administrative areas such as WP:AIV and WP:RFPP.
- Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- Yes, I have had to deal with many different conflicts since joining Wikipedia. Some of the older ones are described at Wikipedia:Editor review/Camaron1 and Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Camaron1. More recent ones frequently relate to administrative actions. One would include over the former article Arnold Murray, of which some information can be found at User talk:Camaron/Archive 2#Arnold Murray Page. It started when I protected the article due to an edit war. I tried to be firm and fair, and to encourage a peaceful resolution to the content dispute that was occurring. Other disputes have occurred on pages such as Talk:Eurovision Song Contest 2008 and Talk:Eurovision Song Contest 2009 of which disputes have got hot, but I have tried in these cases to explain and justify my position in an attempt to resolve the dispute.
