Available on the Commons as: File:The Magic Apple Tree.jpg; both files are different file types, so this doesn't qualify for CSD F8. ALH (talk) 00:46, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Keep"' The re-issue cover art in question is a homage to the original, but strikingly different. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 21:43, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Delete closure was in error. Image is free and "out of date" is not a reason to delete. Stifle (talk) 13:28, 3 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File:Amy Robbins.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by apples.co (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Out of date image please delete Apples.co (talk) 10:27, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete image is out of date Apples.co (talk) 04:25, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep. While the image is over 11 years old, it is a free image, and no replacement free image has been uploaded. The image is also still being used in the article on the actress. The file should not be deleted until neither of these is the case. — trlkly 17:26, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep If a Wikipedian contributes a newer free photo, then this one can be used to illustrate the earlier part of Amy Robbins' career. It can also be moved to Commons for use in other open content projects. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 07:28, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
p.s. Please allow me to adapt a sentence from Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion/Explanations because I agree with its perspective: "Author requests deletion does not apply to long-standing images or quality images not created by mistake. Such images were duly submitted and released by the author and have become part of the encyclopedia, obviating others who otherwise would have taken a photograph of Amy Robbins." --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 07:43, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've been asked to explain why I deleted this. The image was nominated as failing NFCC#8 which means it was seen as failing to significantly increase reader's understanding of the topic Wiltshire College; a requirement of Wikipedia hosting copyrighted images like this. A common test for failing this criteria is that there is no discussion in the article of the image. A sourced section was added to the article that spoke about a new building, however I saw that the section did not discuss any particulars of the building that the image backed up (architectural style, materials, people commenting on its beauty or ugliness). That something is mentioned is insufficient (usually) to meet the requirement for significantly increasing reader's understanding. Most images successful show the thing they depict, Wikipedia requires that non-free images achieve significantly more. - Peripitus (Talk) 11:41, 23 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
File:New Chippenham Campus.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Cassie.reid (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Rendering of a projected building, used in article about a college. Fails NFCC#8 as the building plans are not discussed (or indeed even mentioned) in the text Fut.Perf. 15:27, 14 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I described the date and location of the construction in the caption (2015, Chippenham). Is this insufficient for NFCC#8 ? There is a little more information available from the press or the college (name of architect's firm, cost, scope), but I think the image and above info are the most obviously encyclopedic, with the image demonstrating the size and style, and justify a keep. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 14:08, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Update I just restored a paragraph that was originally contributed with the image [1] --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 14:37, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
