The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the media below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the media's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the discussion was: delete. Lacks contextual significance by sourced text (WP:NFCC#8). czar 19:36, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Screen Shot Air Cadets.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Bzuk (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

The screenshot is used in the plot section of Air Cadets (film) against WP:FILMNFI in that the plot section describes the film and is not critical commentary of the image itself. The fair use rationale states its purpose is "to serve as the primary means of visual identification at the top of the article dedicated to the work in question." The image fails WP:NFCC#3a since the poster is the primary means of visual identification for the article and there is no critical commentary of the image itself in the article, it does nothing to increase the reader's understanding of the film and its exclusion is not detrimental to the understanding of the film, thereby failing WP:NFCC#8. Aspects (talk) 03:49, 23 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The following was added to the caption: "When the original film was lost in a warehouse fire in 1969, only "outtakes" such as this scene remain." The caption and photographic placement is changed to the production area. FWiW Bzuk (talk) 16:12, 25 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The fair use rationale located on the image page is still not valid. The image was moved into a section that still does not discuss it. The only section that discusses the new caption about the fire and outtakes is the Release section, but this image is not discussed and I see nothing to explain how remaining images of a lost movie pass WP:NFCC. Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

The tunnel depicted might not have been on OpenStreetMap in 2005, but it is now, so there is a copyleft alternative to this image. If I upload it myself I'll link it from here. Jc86035's alternate account (talk) 11:06, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No permission. The OTRS ticket consists of a brief "OK to use" statement in a forwarded email. A request for a clear statement of permission was sent on 3 August 2017, but has received no reply. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 14:39, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

File:Zhang Xin, SOHO China CEO.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Ouyilian (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

PR photo that upload by obvious COI/paid account that connect with SOHO China, the company that was owned by Zhang Xin. If the company really want to release the photo to the public domain, should be lodged via OTRS system Matthew_hk tc 19:34, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the alleged photographer was Pan Shiyi, husband and co-founder/co-owner of SOHO China, which obviously the photo permission needed to be proved. Pseudonym and impersonator are two different thing. Matthew_hk tc 08:12, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
