- Strongly oppose changing to CC-BY-2.0 licence This entire FFD is ridiculous as the rationale make zero sense, how is it even possible that Blackpink that debuted in 2016 is even related to 2013 as indicated by quote "
Album covers published by YG Entertainment were released under CC-BY-2.0 licence ... on October 25, 2013
" if that quote is even true to begin with as I don't see album covers of other YG Entertainment artists such as 2NE1 that had released records prior to 2013 having their album covers indicated as licensed under CC-BY-2.0 licensing. And btw, Pink Venom the last file listed was just released this year only hence how is 2022 files related to 2013 files??? — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 04:50, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- Can we have a OTRS volunteer to check on the language of the communication exchange to see if the communications was to give explicit permissions for all future releases or only certain listed relases? – robertsky (talk) 07:07, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- Comment - c:Category:Album covers by YG Entertainment exists but with no information about the scope of the ticket. I have requested help on the VRT noticeboard. -- Whpq (talk) 14:41, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep File:Square One - Blackpink.jpg, too simple design to even be copyrighted.Jonteemil (talk) 17:21, 25 November 2022 (UTC)
- If this is the case, File:Square Two - Blackpink.jpg should also be considered to be too simple due to simply inverting the colors in File:Square One - Blackpink.jpg. 2600:1700:9DD0:8FD0:7174:5D48:8173:70CC (talk) 01:31, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- I am not convinced it is too simple for copyright. The image is a cut out corner lifted out of the album surface. Given that the American Airlines flight symbol is considered copyrightable, it's not clear to me that this is too simple. -- Whpq (talk) 02:26, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- The permissions are valid to use YG Entertainment album covers under the CC BY 2.0 license. —MdsShakil (talk) 06:26, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- @MdsShakil Does it includes releases on and after 2013, and future unreleases like 2022 and beyond? — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 06:30, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Paper9oll No such thing has been specifically mentioned. —MdsShakil (talk) 06:35, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- @MdsShakil If that's case, does it answer the existing query above raised by me and robertsky? Meaning should all of the listed files above which are released from 2016–2022 be converted to CC BY 2.0 licensing? — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 06:37, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- @Paper9oll Since they did not mention it, we may hold the files published up to the date of the ticket under this license. In the case of future files, we can ask them again to confirm their position in this regard. My personal opinion —MdsShakil (talk) 06:48, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

- @MdsShakil: File:Se7en - Just Listen album cover.jpg is available on Commons, despite being released on November 6, 2013 (i.e. twelve days after YG Entertainment's change of license). Same with File:2014 S S Winner Album.jpg from 2014 and File:IKON - Return.jpg from 2018. 2600:1700:9DD0:8FD0:B42A:237F:7816:2C4B (talk) 00:14, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
- Noted that all files linked by IP above were uploaded supporting by the VRT permission. However none of the uploader (Xia, KLIFE88) are VRT member as per c:Commons:Global VRT group. And for File:IKON - Return.jpg, KLIFE88 the uploader, their account doesn't even exists globally when the VRT ticket was filed. @MdsShakil is it possible to have another look at the ticket, was there any details missed out, or should we request to have those files that are tagged with this VRT ticket permission at Commons to be re-evaluate there? @Xia able to explain why you tagged File:Se7en - Just Listen album cover.jpg and File:2014 S S Winner Album.jpg as having permission under OTRS ticket 2013102510001373, did you assume it or were you the one (just my assumption, maybe MdsShakil could verify if such details can be published publicly, I'm not sure on this portion) that filed the OTRS ticket back in 2013? — Paper9oll (🔔 • 📝) 02:07, 2 December 2022 (UTC)

- Keep – What? I can't view the ticket but since when has this been an issue? Album covers are uploaded on Wiki all the time...? And if the YG thing is true, why are we only doing it to Blackpink? Nahnah4 (talk | contribs) 12:50, 26 November 2022 (UTC)
- This is not a matter of keeping or deleting the album covers. The issue id whether these album covers have been freely licensed by the publisher, or need to remain as non-free content. -- Whpq (talk) 14:25, 26 November 2022 (UTC)

Unsure why the sample belongs in It's All Coming Back to Me Now, Original Sin (Pandora's Box album), and/or Pandora's Box (band). Default to delete from the project if no one objects. George Ho (talk) 00:41, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
- Keep in the song article since there is enough critical commentary to justify its inclusion there. Aspects (talk) 06:20, 19 November 2022 (UTC)

Uncertain whether the sample is necessary for It's All Coming Back to Me Now. The sample itself makes readers wanting to listen to the whole song more, but the searchable ones, including the song title and the singer's name, already fulfill the same role as the sample's. Perhaps I can stand corrected about this. George Ho (talk) 00:41, 17 November 2022 (UTC)

Doubt that the sample is necessary for Where Does My Heart Beat Now. The song title and the artist's name already fulfill the same role as the sample's. I can stand corrected, nonetheless. George Ho (talk) 01:06, 17 November 2022 (UTC)
