Non-free former logos are generally not allowed and usually do not comply with NFCC criterion 8. An attempt to have this deleted by orphaning was declined because an IP had restored it to the WPBZ-FM article. WCQuidditch 00:19, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: I think this logo might fall below the ToO. Ixfd64 (talk) 04:31, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Extraneous album cover art. (Other) Continental European artwork preferred, especially when the Dutch/German duo band recorded the song. George Ho (talk) 06:28, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Trigods gypsie skripto.png (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Vajzë Blu (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

I don't see how this non-free pic has any value for a WP-article. It's a 2006 work by a netizen, according to Discordianism "early Discordian Gypsie Skripto". That may very well be correct, this afaict independent source [1] mentions the name. But I'm stuck at "So what?" Afaik, this pic has no independent WP:RS coverage. It exists, but that's not enough for inclusion. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 08:59, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment Thanks for letting me know about this discussion! That was very considerate of you. Vajzë Blu (talk) 16:58, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! When you use WP:TWINKLE it's sort of built-in. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 18:42, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep At least three Wikipedia articles about Discordianism talk about Eris, Aneris, and Spirituality who are shown in the image. They are a basic part of Discordian "sacred teachings." The artist Gypsie Skripto is credited with doing the interview that's shown in several editions of Principia Discordia including Loompanics, Steve Jackson Games, and other editions, and is at https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Interview_with_Norton_Cabal . I searched but didn't see any non-free image that could be used here. A censored version of Gypsie's image has appeared on Wikipedia's sister site Wikia/Fandom since 2016. And as for WP:RS at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reliable_sources , it says "Wikipedia articles should be based on reliable, published sources, making sure that all majority and significant minority views that have appeared in those sources are covered (see Wikipedia:Neutral point of view). If no reliable sources can be found on a topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it." It says nothing about images used on Wikipedia. It only even mentions "image" once in "image hosting services." But that is about sources for Wikipedia articles, not images. Vajzë Blu (talk) 17:26, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete—"Keep" vote is what I kinda expected from the uploader. The image does nothing to make the free text appear inadequate to educate readers about the topic. Also, no proof of its contextual significance to the topic has been made/illustrated. —George Ho (talk) 18:59, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

File:Principayellow.jpg (delete | talk | history | links | logs) – uploaded by Cyberia23 (notify | contribs | uploads | upload log).

Not used anymore on any WP article, and there is a version on WCommons at c:File:Principia Discordia (Loompanics Unlimited edition).pdf. Veverve (talk) 10:58, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Comment: image added back to the article, but the file is still redundant with the one on WCommons. Veverve (talk) 12:23, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Keep The yellow cover here is the original color. The one on Wikicommons has the color changed to orange. Search for "loompanics principia discordia" and you can see this. Vajzë Blu (talk) 18:22, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Comment: Color, as an individual element, is generally not considered something that in an of itself is a creative enough when it comes to copyright; so, the cover isn't eligible for copyright protection just because it's yellow. If the only difference between the two files is the background color being used, then (assuming that the Commons file is licensed correctly) it's probably acceptable to convert the non-free file to the same license as the Commons file and then tag it for WP:MTC; or upload a better higher resolution version of the yellow cover to Commmons (in the same format) and then delete the non-free one per WP:F8. The same file name can be used if a new file is uploaded because the new file will automatically replace the non-free file after the latter is deleted. -- Marchjuly (talk) 05:24, 7 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
