A pictorial lucky dip

[edit]

by Hans Muller, ASCL Wikipedian in residence 2019-2024, 2024-12-19.

  • A Wikipedian in residence project
  • led by Jos Damen, head Leiden University African Library,
  • put some 6000+ historical photographs related to Africa and the ASCL on the internet over (2014-)2019-2024.

  • Caveat
  • Most of the African images here represent a past uniquely white perspective
  • on various parts of Africa over the 1960s-1990s,
  • So they cannot reflect the present 2020s African reality.
