Diogomauricio3's user pages
[edit]Diogomauricio3's has since February 2010 mass created user sub-page "article" drafts that appear to be consistently based on fiction or are otherwise made-up, usually inspired by real life topics such as the Eurovision Song Contest. Articles drafts on topics made-up by users have absolute no encyclopaedic value, and even if they did this user does not appear to have any intention of moving these articles to the mainspace, so these user sub-pages are clear violations of WP:UP#NOT and WP:NOT#WEBHOST. All pages included in this nomination are listed here.
These "articles" on the surface appear to be perfectly genuine with infoboxes, pictures e.t.c. and that is probably why this was not picked-up earlier, however I have found in every case I have researched nothing to show any truth to these articles, and none of them contain references, so I believe nominating them all for deletion is justified. There are too many articles to disprove them all individually, and nominating them to MfD on a case-by-case basis is simply not going to be practical, so here are some samples:
- User:Diogomauricio3/Toy Story 4 - Could happen and probably inspired by Toy Story 3, but there are no plans for the film at the moment according to the Toy Story 3 article, so this is almost certainly made-up with potential WP:BLP concerns.
- User:Diogomauricio3/Worldvision Song Contest 2010 - No such content in real life. Some Eurovision Song Contest fans have created made-up "online" song contests which can be found on YouTube, blogs e.t.c., and this appears to be another one of those, just Wikipedia is playing host to it.
- User:Diogomauricio3/Turkish Airlines Flight 1267 - Absolutely nothing on Google about this, which is not just believable for a plane crash with fatalities, as claimed. Some of the claims in the article also raise eye brows, such as the 'Future' section.
- User:Diogomauricio3/EasyJet Racing - No such team appears to exist.
- User:Diogomauricio3/Marathon of the Sahara Desert - Such marathons do appear to exist, but I could find nothing that matched the marathon in this article. Teams include a university and a football team? This (and probably the other userspace pages) are appearing in Google (example) which raises concerns of Google users mistaking these pages for truthful articles.
- User:Diogomauricio3/Super-blizzard world of 2003 - Was originally at User:Diogomauricio3/Super-blizzard world of 2014, and claims that a snowstorm hit a long list of countries including the United Arab Emirates. Need I say more?
I have given Diogomauricio3 a chance to justify all or any number of these pages being hosted on Wikipedia, as can be found at User talk:Diogomauricio3#Your article drafts, and this opportunity remains open during this MfD, but he appears to be ignoring me. When responding to a bot removing fair use images from the "articles", Diogomauricio3 has demonstrated that he can speak English, so there isn't a communication issue here [1]. - Delete per WP:NOT#WEBHOST, WP:FAKEARTICLE. User has started removing MFD templates, so they know about this debate and refuse to acknowledge the concerns brought up by the nominator. MER-C 09:58, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- I have left a second note on his talk page [2] stating that the MfD templates must not be removed, but he is clearly ignoring this. Since I'm the nominator I don't think it would be appropriate for myself to take admin action over this, so I'm leaving it for now, though another admin is free to do so if they think it is justified. - Delete WP:FAKEARTICLE and the fact that the user, instead of discussing this, tried removing the MfD templates. ~~ Hi878 (Come shout at me!) 18:30, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- Delete as NOTWEBHOST does not host fictional articles. :| TelCoNaSpVe :| 18:49, 11 September 2010 (UTC)
- Delete all per WP:FAKEARTICLE. The user's behavior has been less than extraordinary, and the use of fair use images on these pages is hardly justified. Nomader (Talk) 19:21, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
