This is about the upper house of the Brazilian legislature. Apart from the main article the only pages in scope are biographies of current or former members, practically all of which are very short stubs. Suggest this is better covered at Portal:Politics of Brazil. Hut 8.5 12:00, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- I'd be happy with redirecting it somewhere else but I don't think there's much that can be usefully merged with these automated portals. Hut 8.5 16:12, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- Delete I was kind of surprised this was about Brazil when I looked at this portal - I would have expected the title to be a DAB page. I've toured this building and it is not a broad topic, unless you unclude a bunch of bios, which seems silly when usually someone has other accomplishments before they end up in the senate. The senate is only part of the complex that includes the lower house and twin office towers. Very cool modernist building, but not a good portal topic. Legacypac (talk) 12:09, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- Merge and redirect to a broader portal on the Brazilian Congress or Brazilian government; while either of those are viable portal topics, splitting out separate portals on a bicameral basis is drilling down too far. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 16:03, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- Delete without prejudice against deletion of any portals to which merging this one is proposed. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:11, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- Delete. This is too narrow a topic. Espresso Addict (talk) 23:43, 23 March 2019 (UTC)
- Comment, the same problem here is with the music genres above. It is easy to recognise a subject range by title for which the world has provided much content, but here on Wikipedia, when I click the category for this subject, I am presented a single article and a category of incumbents. If you are concerned with the guide for portals, this particular portal is a good example of a shortfall on expectations. This is the portal you would create but shouldn't. As for merger with Portal:Politics of Brazil, this portal is already merged with the contents of Portal:Politics of Brazil. ~^\\\.rTG'{~ 13:47, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
