The result of the discussion was: Speedied. This template is a recently created userbox stating This user is a member of the Supreme Cabal Regime of the English Wikipedia
(wikilinked to Wikipedia:List of cabals), but accompanied by a cartoon showing four people wearing Ku Klux Klan robes and hoods bearing the "W" logo, who are standing in front of the Wikipedia globe. Wikipedia:User pages#What may I not have in my user pages? states "there is broad agreement that you may not include in your user space material that is likely to bring the project into disrepute, or which is likely to give widespread offense (e.g. racist ideology)
. This guideline applies to such material whether serious or trolling
and adds that Extremely offensive material may be removed on sight by any editor.
See also Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration#Billy Ego-Sandstein. Although surprisingly there seems to be no CSD expressly designed for this sort of material, we cannot possibly be required to hold a week-long deletion discussion before deleting a userbox that equates editing Wikipedia to membership in a violent racist organization that has killed and terrorized tens of thousands of people—even, or perhaps especially, if the userbox is intended merely for the lols

Violates WP:UPNOT with imagery evoking the KKK and conflating Wikipedia with the Klan. awkwafaba (📥) 18:03, 2 August 2024 (UTC)
- Delete - As the nominator says. There are differences between the KKK and Nazis, but there are also similarities, enough so that the arguments that apply against Nazis also apply against the KKK. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:04, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Comment t0 User:Awkwafaba - You didn't notify the originator of the nomination. WP: Twinkle will take care of that for you. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:04, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- Am I not the originator of the nomination? Did you mean @Emdosis, Lilyu, Paul Stansifer, Nohat, and Econt: who created the templates/images involved? awkwafaba (📥) 18:28, 3 August 2024 (UTC)
- As a general principle, you're supposed to notify page creators on their talk page when nominating something they've created for deletion (see WP:MFDHOWTO). As you're nominating the template and not the image for deletion, only the template creator needs to be notified (though if you want, you're free to do so). Sdrqaz (talk) 18:48, 3 August 2024 (UTC)

- Keep. It seems like the image is the issue, not the template, which means that the image could have been changed instead of nominating the page for deletion (see alternatives to deletion). This imagery for a cabal is not unusual: if you look at the article (and the many projectspace pages like WP:TINC), referring to a "cabal" of Wikipedians and making them out to be hooded secretive figures is well-established. Outside of Wikipedia, this image from Tintin comes to mind (though not in white). If consensus is that there is an issue with this specific image, File:There's no cabal.png seems fine. - It's in the humorous userboxes section. Users may put it on their page for the lols. Emdosis (talk) 00:21, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
