The result of the discussion was Delete. The same user created the mainspace article, so there is no issue with credit for his contributions, and ArcAngel has separately performed the same edit on both pages, so again, no issue. Therefore, a redirect is not needed for copyright compliance. There is a notification of this MFD on CFlive's talk page, so an explanation is accessible if he looks for it upon his return, and if needed any admin could revive the draft. This appears to have been a sandbox article which has now been transcluded, and so this page is no longer necessary or useful. ArcAngel (talk) 23:06, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Fix Page has not been transcluded in any sense of the word. It has, however, been substituted (i.e. it looks like a cut-and-paste move to me (that diff is between two different pages to show how a history merge might appear)). Note that this course of action would necessarily revert two edits by User:ArcAngel to the userspace sandbox (one of which was to add the
{{mfd}}
, the other of which can be redone). --Thinboy00 @083, i.e. 00:59, 3 January 2010 (UTC) - Redirect to Clive Fencott. If the mainspace article exists, there should not be a userspace draft. Content forks lead to WP:Copyright problems. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 04:24, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- Delete - CFlive is the primary author of the userspace draft and of article Clive Fencott, and he is credited in the page history of the article. ArcAngel's edits to the userspace draft are minor and, as far as I know, do not need to be preserved for GFDL-compliance. I suppose that a redirect would do no harm if CFlive wanted to keep one, but it also is not necessary (it's not as if anyone will search for the userspace draft). –BLACK FALCON (TALK) 19:29, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
- The benefit of the redirect is for User:CFlive. Returning to find your userspace pages deleted can be disconcerting. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 22:56, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
