Content was deleted from main space as spam. User apparently uses wikipedia as a self-promotion tool since this page is regularly updated with "Latest News" and other information. It was on user's main page where he kept restoring it, including categorization and defaultsort-template. I have now moved it to a subpage and propose deletion (user might revert move occasionally, so as we speak, it might be there). Wikipedia is not a webhost. --Seb az86556 (talk) 09:49, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I marked it noindex. The author claims to be the subject's brother, and does seem like he might want to learn our policies, though his actions reverting Seb seem to indicate otherwise. I'm on the fence in terms of deletion. There was one major news story regarding the TV show about young chefs, and the TV show itself of course. WP:BLP1E borderline stuff at this point. If McKenzie got a little more coverage then the article might be suitable for inclusion, with very heavy editing out of the promotional and unverifiable material. At this point, educating the author might work. There hasn't been much effort put toward engaging the author. Gigs (talk) 22:28, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete - if the user is indeed the subject's brother, then of course he has a COI! Also, it is claimed that Matthew McKenzie works with Alison Taafe - she doesn't have an article - and Tobie Puttock - which has no mention of him in his article. Google News yielded one suitable hit (Australia's Herald Sun) - however, this one mention (from April 2008, when he was a third-year apprentice chef at Vue Bistro in Melbourne) does not make for notability. The alternative would be a drastic rewrite, if sufficient references were found to show WP:NOTABILITY. -- PhantomSteve (Contact Me, My Contribs) 11:59, 18 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
