- User:Veera.sj/sandbox/Cruelty against Husband in India (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs)
This was created when this happened. It is a collection of disparate points combined to form the user's narrative. Some other samples were Category:Users who experienced domestic violence as a husband, Category:Wikipedians interested in Anti Feminism , Category:Wikipedians interested in masculism, Category:Scapegoats of Dowry law, Template:Scapegoat of Dowry Law, etc. It hasn't seen any improvement since creation and no edit in six years. —SpacemanSpiff 17:17, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Delete per WP:NOTWEBHOST. This will never be an article and Wikipedia is not free web hosting for semi-literate opinion blogs. --DanielRigal (talk) 17:50, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Comment: I am inclined to refer this article to Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red for their consideration, and to avoid gender bias in decision making. This article is not in mainspace, and probably best to seek an evaluation. --Whiteguru (talk) 18:45, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Delete - As the nominator shows, this was created in
draft spacethe user's sandbox due to deletion from article space, which is a clear case of gaming the system. Robert McClenon (talk) 19:11, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
"this was created in draft space"
??- I neither see that the nominator showed this, nor that it is true. What does draftspace have to do with this? --SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:59, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
- User:SmokeyJoe - Oops. Error on my part, corrected. For this purpose, there is little difference between draft space and sandbox space. The user was copying it out of article space to somewhere else because the community was deleting it from article space. I stand by my conclusion that the user was trying to game the system. Robert McClenon (talk) 04:00, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
- I think you have made an unimportant error. I think he created it in userspace, then copied it to mainspace, and then the mainspace version was AfD-ed and deleted.
- It is arguable that it should be history merged and deleted, or deleted G8. However, he is active, monthly, so he should have been asked. SmokeyJoe (talk) 04:28, 17 August 2021 (UTC)

- Delete This is an abandoned WP:POVFORK from Domestic violence in India and will never be suitable as a stand-alone article. Johnuniq (talk) 23:21, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
- Keep. Acceptable use of userspace by a contributor. No evidence of misuse. No evidence of it being used as WEBHOSTing. Userspace subpages are not required to be suitable to become articles. I do not find the POVFORK angle of argument to be stronger than the negative of random policing of others' userspace.
- I am a bit confused by the page history, showing many edits over 12 hours on 16 August 2015. Am I correct to guess that it was then copy-pasted to mainspace, and that mainspace page was promptly AfD-ed and then deleted?
- It was deleted for being a POV essay. POV essays are allowed in userspace.
- If kept, it's talk page should record both this MfD and Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cruelty against Husband in India. --SmokeyJoe (talk) 00:59, 17 August 2021 (UTC)
- Delete - this does not appear to be an acceptable use of userspace, e.g. per WP:UP#GOALS, it appears to be
Extensive writings and material on topics having virtually no chance whatsoever of being directly useful to the project, its community, or an encyclopedia article
, e.g. it is WP:SOAPBOX. While the content is often unsourced, sources include a variety of primary sources and a "Men's Rights India" blog. There also appears to be unsourced inaccuracy, e.g. as compared to the actual grounds for divorce in India (SheThePeople, 2020). Per WP:NOTWEBHOST,Wikipedians have individual user pages, but they should be used primarily to present information relevant to work on the encyclopedia.

- Keep per SmokeyJoe, I don't really see an issue here - this is an active user and it's an acceptable use of user space. Pawnkingthree (talk) 01:54, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
