EastGermanAllStar (talk · contribs) - A sensible Wikipedian dedicated to one cause and one cause only, that Wikipedia does not go right-wing in its content slant. EastGermanAllStar 17:13, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I happily accept by self-nomination.:
Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: Intervention against vandalism, and intervention against NPOV violations.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: My work on the German Democratic Republic and Soviet Union pages. I like these the best because they serve to offer perspectives not generally seen on other areas of reading, but perspectives that exist, nontheless.
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: No conflicts, no previous blocks, I don't like to fight with people, and I will never be prone to doing so. I understand that I am not the longest-standing user here, but if I am given the chance, I will prove my worthiness to contribute to this encyclopedia as an admin. Thank you.

- Oppose 18 edits, malformed RfA, zero AIV edits. Please withdraw. —Anas talk? 17:31, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose suggest to EastGermanAllStar an immediate withdrawal of nomination and a period of gaining experience across WP. The Rambling Man 17:42, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose per above, and a comment: even if he had a good edit count, his recent edit to Free Republic was extremely uncalled for.--Whsitchy 17:53, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- You mean the one that was immidiately reverted by myself?EastGermanAllStar 17:57, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes, that one. Even if you did revert it, it puts your ethics in to major question, clearly showing you're not ready for adminship. Of course, that's not my only reason to oppose, but those were mentioned already.--Whsitchy 18:01, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Also, joke editing and putting down comments with no verfication on pages and not reverting them yourself is a big blow to your integraty. --Whsitchy 18:06, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- You mean the one that was immidiately reverted by myself?EastGermanAllStar 17:57, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose; saying that you're a single-purpose user who's here solely to compensate for "right-wing bias" implies that you've got a "left-wing bias" yourself. Usually, editors who claim they're here to "balance" debate on some contentious topic are actually POV warriors themselves. Anyway, admin powers aren't needed to engage in editing of political topics. *Dan T.* 17:54, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose on lack of experience, lack of commitment to Wikipedia values and POV problems.--Guinnog 17:59, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - Agree with Guinnog. -- Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 18:16, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose - Also recommend closing per WP:SNOW. Lack of experience as well as questionable behavior ([1] , also see User talk:EastGermanAllStar). --Celain 18:23, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose and speedy close. Joke self-nomination. Resolute 18:25, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose. This joke edit to Jimmy Wales, this poorly cited edit stating that the Soviet Union had been reunited, and this accusation at User talk:Guinnog are all the reasons I need against providing this user with admin tools. (Or further editing, for that matter.) --Elkman (Elkspeak) 18:25, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Strongly oppose Clearly doesn't get it. Offensive and close-mined. Speedy close. Wiggy! 18:37, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
