victoria uni (talk · contribs) - I am Victoria, and I am a regular contributor to Wikipedia. I have revised the Horseland article, and created the Garrod Farms article. I would like to be an administrator and help improve Wikipedia. Thanks! Victoria uni 02:32, 19 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Candidate, please indicate acceptance of the nomination here: Yes, I accept my own nomination. I think I would be a good candidate.
Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. You may wish to answer the following optional questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What admin work do you intend to take part in?
- A: I would like to continue to edit and improve Wikipedia articles as well as make sure all information is correct and valid. I would also like to be able to delete and recreate articles that I believe need to be. I would like to make Wikipedia, my favorite reference site, the best it can possibly be.
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: One of my best contributions is the revising of the article Horseland. I helped improve and add to that, based on my knowledge of the game, which I have been playing since 2004. I have also made the Garrod Farms article to inform more people about it. Garrod Farms is an excellent stable which deserves some recognition. (It is home to Megan Benjamin, a vaulting gold medalist.)
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A:Somebody tried to delete the Garrod Farms article, and I, believing that it was fine and it should not be deleted, recreated it and improved on it to the best of my ability. I have also had people "correcting" information I put in the article Horseland, but I corrected it back to what is correct based on my 3-4 years of knowledge as a player on the game.

- Ask for withdrawal While everyone certainly appreciates an enthusiastic new user, editors generally need a few thousand edits on Wikipedia to be strongly considered for adminship, and you have less than fifty, Victoria. I'd urge you to keep editing and do what you can to improve the encyclopedia, but I'm sorry to say that becomming an admin is not yet in the cards for you. -- Mike (Kicking222) 02:59, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- yes this seems like WP:SNOW. Don't get discouraged, Victoria. Edit lots of articles, help on admin chores, learn the five pillars and you'll get there soon enough. Ronnotel 03:22, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
