Questions for the candidate
[edit]Dear candidate, thank you for offering to serve Wikipedia as an administrator. Please answer these questions to provide guidance for participants:
- 1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
- A: i intend to become a custodian of zimbabwean and southern african music and musicians
a very neglected area of wikipedia
- 2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
- A: they all get deleted because they havent gone platinum in america but then zimbabwe does not have such an association to certify records in amnner similar to the west and it is through rallying up on instances such as the wikipedia encyclopdia that such questions can be asked
i am hoping that i can inspire other zimbabwean with a particular /keen interest in differing fields to become proactive enough to start asking questions and exposing the dire straits that affect generally most industries in zimbabwe lets say the revolution has to start somewhere
- 3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
- A: i dont think conflict is the answer, people should engage in healthy debate and failure to constructively settle their differences then a neutral [i think wiki calls them bureaucrats] should intervene

Oppose
[edit]- Oppose per WP:NOTNOW. --Rschen7754 05:46, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose per WP:NOTNOW. I commend your enthusiasm but with so little experience on the English Wikipedia - and a very narrow area of interest which could be read as meaning that you would use admin powers to protect articles which you feel should be here - which would be an abuse of the admin tools. I'm sure that I must have misread your statements, but that is the impression I've got. Keep working on the articles you are interested in, finding reliable sources which are independent of the subject - I feel that you have a lot to offer as an editor at this time, but that you are a bit of a distance from being ready for adminship. -- PhantomSteve.alt/talk\[alternative account of Phantomsteve] 06:06, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose per WP:NOTNOW. Thanks for your offer of service but I don't think you are close to ready for the extra buttons. (Suggest this is a WP:SNOW, so let's not drag this out, thanks.) Best wishes, Jusdafax 06:14, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

i would like to nominate myself
i am not a wikipedia guru but i can learn, i have very specific tasks i would like to meet and am not concerned with anything beyond the specific duties i feel have been neglected by the rest of the wikipedia community
that is by no means saying there is anything anyone could have done any differently
i promise to abide by the rules the community vests in me to do the right thing
onsider this a good investment on your ability to grow wikipedia
