[edit]Suspected sockpuppets

Review of contributions of this anon IP will show they are focused heavily in drafts originally created by the blocked sockpuppeteer, almost exclusively related to upcoming/unreleased films and TV shows. Often the anon IP edits a draft shortly after the puppeteer's talkpage has received a notice that the draft will soon be eligible for G13 speedy deletion, thus resetting the G13 clock for another 6 months. Not sure if much can be done about an IP, but here you go. This is only the most prolific of several IPs that show the same behavior. LMK if more details needed, on this iP or the others. [edit]- The thing to be wary of here is that if you did have two different people with the same interest in upcoming movies and TV shows, you might expect some of this behavior to arise innocently. And looking at Special:Contributions/2601:4A:4201:AF0::/64 I'm noticing some differences here—although not ones that couldn't be explained by someone's editing style changing over time. @UnitedStatesian: The G13-related behavior you're talking about sounds very damning, but at a glance I'm not seeing it. Could you please provide some diffs? (Linking just to the G13-resetting edits is fine; assuming all the notifications are still on $uperFan32's talkpage I can find them myself.) Thanks. -- Tamzin[cetacean needed] (she/they) 09:03, 4 January 2022 (UTC)
- Looking at the ranges last 50 edits we can see that they edited 14 drafts not created by the IP. 9 of these were either created or heavily edited by $uperFan32 and the rest created after they were blocked and hence they couldn't have edited them. I've seen a few cases where the range did an edit in the week after a notice on SuperFans talk page: [1] [2] [3] [4]. This together with the range starting editing a lot more a few weeks after SuperFan32 and a generally similar editing style I feel it's enough for a block. Quite sad really since I've seen that their editing has improved some since they were blocked. I have therefore added a note to their talk page for them to request an unblock for the main account in a few months. --Trialpears (talk) 22:45, 5 January 2022 (UTC)
