Suspected sockpuppets

This is confusing to follow because the editors have the similar names to the video game articles.

It began with this report at WP:ANEW. After looking at the master and the first sock listed above, I blocked the master for one week and the puppet indefinitely based on WP:DUCK. The master account had been created on March 6, 2013, and the puppet on March 28, 2013. Both accounts were named like the games they were discussing. On the master's talk page, he says he is the "Exclusive editor for Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes.". On the Metal Gear puppet user page, he said "I only work on the Metal Gear Solid V article.". The content disupte was whether to split Metal Gear Solid V into two articles. Both the master and the puppet wanted to split. This shows Ground Zeroes moving Metal Gear Solid:Ground Zeroes to Metal Gear Solid:The Phantom Pain. This shows him creating the second article, Metal Gear Solid:Ground Zeroes. This shows Metal Gear Solid V editor indicating, "I just split them now."

My blocks of the first puppet and the master occurred on March 30 at 1:56 and 1:59. Neither account requested an unblock. SOCOM created his account on March 30 at 9:21. He created a user page that says he's been on Wikipedia for over 7 years and that he is on several wiki projects or ise interested in them, unclear ("I'm an editor and several wiki projects"). He said he was interested in various kinds of articles, including Metal Gear articles. However, the only articles he's edited have been Metal Gear articles. Finally, like the other two accounts, he has argued for a split.

I have already indefinitely blocked SOCOM as a puppet, but because we now have two puppets - and there may be more - I felt it wise to open this report to obtain technical confirmation if possible. Whether you look for sleepers is up to you. Bbb23 (talk) 00:35, 2 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
