Each of the above is effectively an WP:SPA with an unhealthy obsession with Finasteride, Post-Finasteride Syndrome or Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Post-Finasteride Syndrome. The vote-stacking by the above accounts at that AfD is simply breathtaking. Each has appeared over the last few days and most have only contributed to that discussion/topic.
Each has an almost identical writing style, similar language style and the same consistent inability to format their contributions properly. Each seems to resort to the same tactic - when someone points out a policy the article may be in breach of, another SPA appears and starts dishing out border-line personal attacks. Given the topic and tone, it might be that we are looking at a group of meat-puppets, rather than a single-user sock-puppet army.
As a side note - I stumbled upon the AFD and except to note that I was starting this SPI, I have not contributed to any of the topics in question. Must have just heard the quacking a long way off...
Though I suspect the actual IP addresses might be hard to connect, I have asked for a check-user anyway, just in case they link to any of the accounts separately. Stalwart111 (talk) 23:32, 4 October 2012 (UTC)

- Please show, where I have a unhealthy obsession with finasteride? I am the author of this article and know a lot about this topic. So when someone wants to delete my article and the arguments are very poor. Should I shut up? Non of the users have checked the sources and they use useless arguments. You can have a look on my german usersite. The only thing I see here on the english wiki is that many users here just make some statements and do not quote or prove them. You say, Each has appeared over the last few days..... This is not true! I´m not a new member, I worked a lot on the german wiki. I am just the author and made the entry.
- There are tousands of young men with PFS, for sure they all want to defend this article.
- As me as the author also, who put a lot of work and time in this, dont want so see it deleted.
- It is realy to funny, that you say the english is nearly the same, my english is very very bad.

- So you admit I had a wikipedia account and have created a Wikipedia article and have contributed to numerous Wikipedia edits, then you accuse me of being an SPA? Laughable. Did it ever occur to you that I have knowledge of Finasteride and the Post Finasteride Syndrome and that I, and others, are trying to share our knowledge via Wikipedia? We do not have an "unhealthy obsession" with finasteride thou some of us had our lives ruined by finasteride and we are expanding the current knowledge of the drug and how it can induce a horrible, debilitating syndrome. Gilmour1201 10:38, 5 October 2012
- You created 1 article in 2010 and have no other edits except those that relate to this subject. So yours is an WP:SPA except for one other edit. Happy to concede that. Stalwart111 (talk) 01:56, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
- This is pretty silly. You will see that I personally have no connection to any other user on the page in question. I can't speak for the others, but what I see is a heated debate rather than any evidence for sockpuppetry. 207.237.40.53 (talk) 00:30, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
- What's silly is that your IP (207.237.40.53) isn't even listed at this SPI and hasn't been used before. So which other IP / username have you been using that brought you here to defend yourself? You have effectively proved you are engaged in sock-puppetry or IP-hopping without the need for a further check. Stalwart111 (talk) 01:56, 5 October 2012 (UTC)
- You are incorrect, it has been used here before. Wikipedia just logged me out so it displayed my IP address rather than my user name. No evidence of sock-puppetry here, despite your false conclusions.207.237.40.53 (talk) 06:00, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- No, your IP hasnt been used to edit wikipedia before. You can see your first edit from this IP is right here denying that you should be on this list, when at the time you werent. You are now. wikipedia may log you out from your account, but it tracks forever contributions made. Its a mandatory part of wikipedia's creative commons copyright licensing. -- The Red Pen of Doom 14:17, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- Your last statement is partially incorrect. Wikipedia tracks only the contributions an IP has made if the user is not logged into a username. I have other edits that will be tracked on my username and not found on my IP address. Whichever admin chooses to look through this mess will see that my IP matches other contributions. I am not sure why you are interested in continuing to fight this losing battle since it is clear that the IPs are coming from different users around the world.207.237.40.53 (talk) 14:25, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- wherever the IPs come from, if they are related to user accounts that are behaving improperly, then the IPs will receive the same appropriate sanctions as the user accounts paired with them. the fact that there may be more than one person socking from different parts of the world or just a series of meat puppets will also determined. -- The Red Pen of Doom 16:23, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- I give up, you have completely stopped making sense. These IP addresses seem to come from different parts of the world, hence they could not be engaged in 'sock-puppetry' unless some kind of teleportation is currently possible. It is possible, although unlikely, that it will be found that a single user here is engaged in sock-puppetry, but it is seemingly impossible for all posters here to be the same person due to huge geographical differences. I guess in a few days this matter will be settled and closed.207.237.40.53 (talk) 17:11, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

- So you all should me? Wow, now everboody who took part of this is here. Sadly this can be proven. I also wrote the german wiki entry and there was not such a case like that here.
- Im only included in this list because i posted something by accident, which I then erased. Abuse of the system if you ask me. I have not contributed to any conversation as a sock puppet or meat puppet. ps. Nobody calls me a meat puppet and gets away with it! LoL — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.2.141.89 (talk) 13:33, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- abuse indeed. but I am glad that i did actually give you a reason to post your outrage. -- The Red Pen of Doom 13:41, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- I havent even posted anything using these IP adresses so how can I possibly be included on this list? Yes, you are a time waster. And judging by your talk page your the one whos account needs to be looked at!!. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.2.141.89 (talk) 13:50, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- considering your first post was a post to this page which begins " Im only included in this list..." when at the time you posted, your IP was not, obviously reflects the fact that the IP from which you are posting has some connection to at least one of the other IP/accounts listed here. It was funny when that happened to IP 207.237.40.53, and even more hilarious when it happens AGAIN on the same page. Any continued denial that you are not related is simply going to reinforce that you are not here on the up and up. -- The Red Pen of Doom 14:02, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- I will keep this simple for others: I have never used these IPs to contribute to a discussion that could in any way be seen as against the rules of wikipedia (or any discussion at all). And, yes, IPs change which is why I deleted the post initially as it looked a bit odd. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.2.141.89 (talk) 14:40, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- and to keep it simple. if any of the other accounts HAVE been inappropriately using wikipedia, AND this IP is associated with those individuals, THEN it is well within the actions taken to include the IPs associated with bad acting accounts when any sanctions are being applied to prevent such continued bad acting from other sources. per WP:SOCK " Improper purposes include attempts to deceive or mislead other editors, disrupt discussions, distort consensus, avoid sanctions, " -- The Red Pen of Doom 15:04, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- My IPs are only here because i posted by accident and then deleted it. Funnily enough when I did post in the talk page (which soon settled down into an intelligent discussion) but under my user name, I was not included here. Why? Because I clearly was not a 'meatpuppet' - even disagreeing with 'brainbug666' about the consensus! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.2.141.89 (talk) 15:39, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- The evidence does not support your story. you first posted here stating "I am only listed here... " so either your first post or your most recent post is completely inaccurate and you are not doing yourself any favors. -- The Red Pen of Doom 16:10, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- This is exausting: I posted something without logging on and then corrected it. But I was included here anyway, possibly automatically. OK? I am not under the control of 'Brainbug666'!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.2.141.89 (talk) 16:33, 6 October 2012 (UTC)
- This part is actually quite easy to resolve - declare which of the user-names in the above list is yours (the listing that made you come to this page to make an unprompted denial, but "accidentally" using your IP) and link the two user-pages / talk-pages. If none of the user-names above belong to you, what made you randomly come to this page and issue the denial? Stalwart111 (talk) 00:01, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

What is going on here is realy unbelivable. You are just blaming. It cant be true that such things happen here. I always thought wikipedia is serios, but this is worse than any forum, what some users are doing here and those blameing gives a very very bad picture of wikipeda. The only case of meatpuppetry I see here is a bunch of people who are blaming other. --Brainbug666 (talk) 20:53, 6 October 2012 (UTC)

[edit]- I haven't run any checks in this case, but please see the WHOIS links above - two of the IPs geolocate to far south Texas, one to Nevada, and the other to somewhere near London, so it's doubtful that they're all the same person. —DoRD (talk) 00:52, 5 October 2012 (UTC)

- Concur with DoRD - suspect this is perhaps a support group of some kind. Elen of the Roads (talk) 15:35, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- Clerk declined - Might be meatpuppetry, but can't see a link to justify a CU here. Dennis Brown - 2¢ © Join WER 16:06, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- There is a strong likelihood that some of the named accounts match up with some of the IPs, so there was some socking and meatpuppetry going on. Filtering through it is not trivial, however. Dennis Brown - 2¢ © Join WER 16:16, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- Clerk note: I've already blocked Brainbug666 for a combination of WP:DE, battleground mentality and WP:HERE, after concluding he is likely linked to one of these IP. CU can email me if they are curious. Dennis Brown - 2¢ © Join WER 20:26, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- The rest of these are very curious, but I can't find enough to definitely link them in a reasonable amount of time. Closing with no prejudice to reconsider the same evidence later. Meatpuppetry is certain, but difficult to demonstrate here. Dennis Brown - 2¢ © Join WER 20:27, 11 October 2012 (UTC)

User:PhD-lin has re-created the deleted page Post-Finasteride Syndrome (see also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Post-Finasteride Syndrome). This is the page that Brainbug666 was abusively editing and then indefinitely blocked over. Deli nk (talk) 12:58, 30 July 2013 (UTC) Deli nk (talk) 12:58, 30 July 2013 (UTC)
