Each of the above is effectively an WP:SPA with an unhealthy obsession with Finasteride, Post-Finasteride Syndrome or Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Post-Finasteride Syndrome. The vote-stacking by the above accounts at that AfD is simply breathtaking. Each has appeared over the last few days and most have only contributed to that discussion/topic.

Each has an almost identical writing style, similar language style and the same consistent inability to format their contributions properly. Each seems to resort to the same tactic - when someone points out a policy the article may be in breach of, another SPA appears and starts dishing out border-line personal attacks. Given the topic and tone, it might be that we are looking at a group of meat-puppets, rather than a single-user sock-puppet army.

As a side note - I stumbled upon the AFD and except to note that I was starting this SPI, I have not contributed to any of the topics in question. Must have just heard the quacking a long way off...

Though I suspect the actual IP addresses might be hard to connect, I have asked for a check-user anyway, just in case they link to any of the accounts separately. Stalwart111 (talk) 23:32, 4 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Please show, where I have a unhealthy obsession with finasteride? I am the author of this article and know a lot about this topic. So when someone wants to delete my article and the arguments are very poor. Should I shut up? Non of the users have checked the sources and they use useless arguments. You can have a look on my german usersite. The only thing I see here on the english wiki is that many users here just make some statements and do not quote or prove them. You say, Each has appeared over the last few days..... This is not true! I´m not a new member, I worked a lot on the german wiki. I am just the author and made the entry.
There are tousands of young men with PFS, for sure they all want to defend this article.
As me as the author also, who put a lot of work and time in this, dont want so see it deleted.
It is realy to funny, that you say the english is nearly the same, my english is very very bad.

  • So you admit I had a wikipedia account and have created a Wikipedia article and have contributed to numerous Wikipedia edits, then you accuse me of being an SPA? Laughable. Did it ever occur to you that I have knowledge of Finasteride and the Post Finasteride Syndrome and that I, and others, are trying to share our knowledge via Wikipedia? We do not have an "unhealthy obsession" with finasteride thou some of us had our lives ruined by finasteride and we are expanding the current knowledge of the drug and how it can induce a horrible, debilitating syndrome. What's silly is that your IP (207.237.40.53) isn't even listed at this SPI and hasn't been used before. So which other IP / username have you been using that brought you here to defend yourself? No, your IP hasnt been used to edit wikipedia before. You can see your first edit from this IP is right here denying that you should be on this list, when at the time you werent. You are now. wikipedia may log you out from your account, but it tracks forever contributions made. Your last statement is partially incorrect. Wikipedia tracks only the contributions an IP has made if the user is not logged into a username. I have other edits that will be tracked on my username and not found on my IP address. Whichever admin chooses to look through this mess will see that my IP matches other contributions. I am not sure why you are interested in continuing to fight this losing battle since it is clear that the IPs are coming from different users around the world.207.237.40.53 (talk) 14:25, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
wherever the IPs come from, if they are related to user accounts that are behaving improperly, then the IPs will receive the same appropriate sanctions as the user accounts paired with them. the fact that there may be more than one person socking from different parts of the world or just a series of meat puppets will also determined. -- The Red Pen of Doom 16:23, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I give up, you have completely stopped making sense. These IP addresses seem to come from different parts of the world, hence they could not be engaged in 'sock-puppetry' unless some kind of teleportation is currently possible. It is possible, although unlikely, that it will be found that a single user here is engaged in sock-puppetry, but it is seemingly impossible for all posters here to be the same person due to huge geographical differences. considering your first post was a post to this page which begins " Im only included in this list..." when at the time you posted, your IP was not, obviously reflects the fact that the IP from which you are posting has some connection to at least one of the other IP/accounts listed here. It was funny when that happened to IP 207.237.40.53, and even more hilarious when it happens AGAIN on the same page.   • I will keep this simple for others: I have never used these IPs to contribute to a discussion that could in any way be seen as against the rules of wikipedia (or any discussion at all). Funnily enough when I did post in the talk page (which soon settled down into an intelligent discussion) but under my user name, I was not included here. Why? This part is actually quite easy to resolve - declare which of the user-names in the above list is yours (the listing that made you come to this page to make an unprompted denial, but "accidentally" using your IP) and link the two user-pages / talk-pages. What is going on here is realy unbelivable. You are just blaming. It cant be true that such things happen here. I always thought wikipedia is serios, but this is worse than any forum, what some users are doing here and those blameing gives a very very bad picture of wikipeda. See, there is a big group of patients and there is now a article about this. This is exactly what I mean here, some people just make some statements. You make two accusations. As DoRD wrote it is not one person as you said! First wrong thing. So now the first thing its wrong it´s the other. Now "meat-puppets" But this is only what you belive, DoRD never wrote that it is that, so why do you write that? You are the one who writes that I and the other people have unhealthy obsession. But what do you show here? This is realy like a crasy witch-hunt. Crazy guesses. Read what i wrote! Is this so hard to understand or is my english so bad. YES a big conspiracy is going on an I control all the people here, I also wrote all sources and I´m also every MD who where in TV. Sorry, but this all is getting to ridiculous. Are here any admins, who take care of those people? Is the only aim to let people and serious writers look like dubious? I would love to have admin who now do something against such things. I never have seen such realy crasy things on the german wiki site. *Sigh* - have a read of WP:MEAT. I acknowledged from the very start that it might not have been a case of sock-puppetry - "it might be that we are looking at a group of meat-puppets, rather than a single-user sock-puppet army.". DoRD suggested it might not have been a case of sock-puppetry. That suggestion is absolutely accurate. Unfortunately, we don't have a Meat-Puppet-Investigation tool, only a Sock-Puppet-Investigation one. I'm collapsing our comments - this section is for admins / check-users, not for us to use. Once again, do you read what people write? Sorry, but this is totaly crasy and you say I´m obssed? I ask you, can you quoute me please, where this is showen? No answer, you just make some statements with no prove. Your arguments are like, it can be a duck, a crow, a army, a dog. Now its not a duck its a crow. What a kind of silly argumentation is that? But you can not prove that it is a crow. Anyway for you its a crow. This was my first entry on the english wiki and I´m realy shocked, what kind of people are acting here. As I wrote many times, there are many patients, who have the Problem and for them like for many other this is a well knowen term, that are realy sick people and teir lifes are destroyed by those drugs. they try to defet this article. You call them a meat puppet army? This is a slap in the face and is incredibly outrageous.

You have made 48 edits (as of 2:49, 5 October 2012) and from what I can see, every single one has been about Finasteride, its side-effects, the company that makes it, the proposed deletion of your article about Finasteride's side effects or this investigation. Once again, you only take one thing I wrote and fully ignoring the other things. Than you only talk about "obsesed", first you talked about a unheahly obsession. You just have to look at my german entrys and what you are saying, that I only to entrys on Finasteride is a lie. This can be showen. Anyway, I never changed a single thing on the Finasteride article on the english wiki, because it´s simply not possible. I wrote something in the talk, that some proven things need to be added, these things are true and can be also proven. When I never make any entry in the english wiki before and started a article here and changing some things even on the 5AR I am unheahly obssed? Something is realy wrong with you. User:PhD-lin has re-created the deleted page Post-Finasteride Syndrome (see also Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Post-Finasteride Syndrome).
